“#Watch Half Waif\u2019s Video for New Song \u201cParty\u2019s Over\u201d<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Half Waif released a new 7″ today: On the A-side is \u201cOrange Blossoms,\u201d which was previously released, and the B-side features \u201cParty\u2019s Over.\u201d Today, Nandi Rose released the Kenna Hynes\u2013directed video for the latter. Watch it below.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow many times have I stood on the outside, wanting to be inside,\u201d Rose said in a statement. \u201cThis song is a reminder to myself that maybe I\u2019m seeing it backwards, and the outside is actually the better place to be. There\u2019s a sense of richness at the margins, where the shadows darken. It reminds me of that party trick where you take the wire cage from the top of a bottle of champagne, and you hold it up and twist and trick your brain into seeing the whole thing inverted. Except in this case, the party\u2019s over, and it\u2019s not an illusion, it\u2019s a revelation.\u201d<\/p>\n
