This bird brain failed to fly-by-night and ended up on-screen.<\/p>\n

A Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Finance meeting on Zoom turned fowl this Wednesday when a committee member, who happ<\/a>ens to be named Colin Pidgeon, randomly caught a pigeon mid-call.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI have literally just caught a pigeon,\u201d a shocked-sounding Pidgeon announces, cradling the bird after his cat delivered it to him during the meeting. The non-remote, distanced committee members immedia<\/a>tely begin laughing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cColin, this is much more interesting,\u201d one chortled.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cColin Pidgeon\u2019s caught a pigeon,\u201d another committee member adds.<\/p>\n

\u201cColin, Colin, go and put the pigeon outside,\u201d a meeting leader says, excusing Pidgeon from the meeting.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cat hasn\u2019t killed it,\u201d Pidgeon then announces.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou kept your composure the whole way through that, amazing,\u201d praises a fellow member.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never been interrupted by wildlife before,\u201d Pidgeon reflects.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Committee wishes to confirm no pigeon or indeed Pidgeon were harmed during this incident,\u201d the committee posted to its <\/a>official Twitter account.<\/p>\n

However, Pidgeon says he is experiencing some back pain post-incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cActually, my back is a bit sore now you mention it \u2026\u201d he noted in a retweet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pidgeon has long embraced his last name, even before the sudden, literal manifestation of it during work: Not only does he have a doormat<\/a> reading \u201cHouse Pidgeon Embrace the Chaos\u201d featuring a pigeon spread-eagle, but the brickwork on the front of his house has also been painted with the family crest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fowl experience that made the internet giggle comes after a lawyer\u2019s recent viral moment when a Zoom filter turned the attorney into a cat during a virtual court hearing.\u00a0\n <\/p><\/div>\n
