Nickelodeon\u2019s hit children\u2019s show \u201cRugrats\u201d is making a comeback \u2014 this time on Paramount\u2019s new streaming service, the studio announced Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The show \u2014 which previously ran for nine seasons over 13 years on Nickelodeon before being canceled in 2004 \u2014 will reprise its original cast in their roles, according to a report in Variety.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cRugrats is one of the most iconic cartoons recognized by fans around the globe, and this original version is one we are taking great care and pride in creating for a brand-new audience,\u201d President of Nickelodeon Animation Ramsey Naito said at Investor\u2019s Day. <\/p>\n

\u201cHaving the voice cast behind these special characters come together is one of the essential pieces to making the show recognizable and we can\u2019t wait to watch this talented group bring them to life again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paramount Plus tweeted a sneak-peek<\/a> for the show featuring Chuckie being antagonized by Angelica. <\/p>\n

The trailer also revealed a new style of animation for the revival \u2014 which is slated to be a centerpiece of Paramount Plus\u2019 (formally CBS All Access) launch later in 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cRugrats\u201d won four daytime Emmy awards and six Kids Choice Awards during its original run, which began in 1991.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
