An anime adaptation of the The Eminence in Shadow<\/em> light novels has been announced.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The light novels are written by Daisuke Aizawa and illustrated by Azunishi. The first volume was released in May 2018, while the fourth and fifth volumes were released on February 26.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Yen Press describes the light novels\u2019 first volume as:<\/p>\n

Even in his past life, Cid\u2019s dream wasn\u2019t to become a protagonist or a final boss. He\u2019d rather lie low as a minor character until it\u2019s prime time to reveal he\u2019s a mastermind\u2026or at least, do the next best thing-pretend to be one!
