\n A man was killed in Queens late Tuesday \u2014 one of 12 people shot in nine incidents citywide throughout the day, cops said Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

Dante Sartillian was blasted in the chest on Warren Street near 40th Road in Elmhurst around 11:40 p.m., authorities said.<\/p>\n

He was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital by private means, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

The slaying comes amid a spate of shootings across the city in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

About two hours before Sartillian was killed, an 11-year-old boy was shot in the right leg around 9:45 p.m. on East 29th Street near Avenue D in East Flatbush, Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

The shooter, who was driving by in a car, discharged a number of rounds in the victim\u2019s direction and took off, police sources said Wednesday. It remained unclear if the boy was the intended target.<\/p>\n

He was taken to Kings County Hospital Center in serious but stable condition.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
