The Law & Order: SVU<\/em><\/a> reunion fans have been waiting a decade for is almost here \u2014 and now you can hear former NYPD partners Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay<\/a>) and Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni<\/a>) say each other\u2019s names once again. (Yes, we\u2019re excited about that.)<\/p>\n

At the end of the February 25 episode of the long-running drama (now in its 22nd season), the network aired a promo for the upcoming two-part crossover that will be used to kick off Law & Order: Organized Crime<\/em><\/a> (on April 1). Meloni will be app<\/a>earing on his old show (at 9\/8c) before his spinoff premieres (at 10\/9c). Stabler was last seen on SVU<\/em> in the Season 12 finale, when he had to shoot an armed young girl in the precinct; he subsequently, off-screen, turned in his papers without a word to his partner.<\/p>\n

The new promo (below) features both old and new footage of Benson and Stabler. \u201cWe worked together a long time. I can anticipate what he\u2019s thinking, what he\u2019s going to do,\u201d she said in the past.<\/p>\n

And in the present, she\u2019s at a crime scene when she hears \u201cLiv!\u201d She turns: \u201cElliot.\u201d<\/p>\n

This came after, in Thursday\u2019s episode, Sergeant Fin Tutuola (Ice-T<\/a>) encouraged Benson to accept an award in a month\u2019s time because \u201cyou never know who may show up.\u201d Look at that timing\u2026<\/p>\n

In Law & Order: Organized Crime<\/em>, Stabler has suffered \u201ca devastating personal loss\u201d before his return to the NYPD, NBC teases. He \u201cwill aim to find absolution and rebuild his life while leading a new elite task force that is taking apart the city\u2019s most powerful criminal syndicates one by one.\u201d<\/p>\n
