\n Rumors are swirling that Ellen DeGeneres might have her last dance.<\/p>\n

Insiders are whispering that the \u201cEllen\u201d show could be canceled soon, amid reports of falling ratings and allegations of DeGeneres, 62, being \u201crude\u201d to her staff, the Sun reports.<\/p>\n

However, when reached by The Post for comment about the claims, DeGeneres\u2019 production company reps said, \u201cTelepictures can confirm it\u2019s untrue.\u201d<\/p>\n

The syndicated talk show has been on the air since 2003. The comedia<\/a>n \u2014 who is married to \u201cArrested Development\u201d star Portia de Rossi, 47 \u2014 hosts it with a jovial persona, always ready with a smile and a dance.<\/p>\n

But recent behind-the-scenes reports have painted a different picture.<\/p>\n

Most recently, DeGeneres courted controversy in April when crew members from her show spoke out about their treatment during the shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to Variety, they had little communication or transparency about the status of their pay or continued employment. Like other talk show hosts such as Stephen Colbert and Trevor Noah, DeGeneres has continued her show remotely \u2014 but with help from an outside company for tech as opposed to her crew members who spoke out.<\/p>\n

Comedian Kevin T. Porter launched a Twitter thread that went viral on March 20, calling for anyone who encountered DeGeneres to respond with \u201cinsane\u201d stories about \u201cEllen being mean.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA new staff member was told, \u2018Every day she picks someone different to really hate. It\u2019s not your fault, just suck it up for the day and she\u2019ll be mean to someone else the next day.\u2019 They didn\u2019t believe it, but it ended up being entirely true,\u201d TV writer Ben Simeon wrote in one response.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
