Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts are both being considered as replacements for Chris Harrison on \u201cThe Bachelor,\u201d The Sun can reveal.<\/p>\n

Michael will bring \u201ca level of stability\u201d to \u201cThe Bachelor,\u201d a source said, as he is eyed to replace troubled Chris<\/a>, while Robin \u201cwould be an excellent choice to bring some gravitas and seriousness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amid the ongoing backlash to the racism scandal, Chris has been \u201ciced out\u201d of talks at ABC as they discuss who should replace the long-time host.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, a \u201cBachelor<\/a>\u201d insider admitted that Michael is being considered as the replacement for Chris, with sources claiming that the \u201cGood Morning America\u201d host is \u201cthe right mix of news<\/a> and show business\u201d to deal with the role of overseeing the ABC series<\/a>.<\/p>\n

OK!<\/a> originally broke the news of Michael\u2019s potential new gig, but the insider explained there are issues that would need to be ironed out for him to land the role full time.<\/p>\n

The Sun understands ABC executives want to make sure that they have the right message and bring a level of stability to the replacement for Chris, who may not return for the next season.<\/p>\n

Insiders said while his position as executive producer is safe, there is a \u201ctime to wait before knowing whether Chris can come back onscreen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michael, if he got booked, would oversee Matt James\u2019 \u201cAfter the Final Rose\u201d special, and the next season of \u201cThe Bachelorette.\u201d<\/p>\n

Decisions will be made in the next few days, sources said, adding Michael\u2019s booking would \u201cneed some tricky negotiations\u201d given his Fox commitments and GMA role in New York.<\/p>\n

With 49-year-old Chris\u2019\u00a0position on the chopping block\u00a0<\/a>as\u00a0backlash rages on for his comments<\/a>, a source says it\u2019s a matter of \u201cwhen, not if\u201d Chris will get the boot.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The insider exclusively told The Sun: \u201cIt\u2019s only a matter of time before an announcement is made that Chris isn\u2019t returning.\u00a0<\/p>\n
