He was 29.<\/p>\n<p>The former defensive lineman\u2019s mother, <strong>Stephanie Wingfield<\/strong>, reported Nix missing on Wednesday, February 24. She said her son was last seen leaving his father\u2019s house in Jacksonville on Tuesday, telling <em>WJAX-TV<\/em> that it was \u201cout of the normal for him\u201d to not check-in. According to <em>CBS Sports<\/em>, that announcement came shortly after the authorities pulled out a vehicle, which closely matched the de<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ion of Nix\u2019s car, from a pond.<\/p>\n<p>Notre Dame later took to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a><\/strong> to confirm the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> of the former student\u2019s death on Sunday morning, writing:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe are saddened by the loss of one of our own, Louis Nix III. Rest In Peace, Big Lou. Always wanted to put a smile on everyone\u2019s face. Glad I got to share some unforgettable moments with you. You will be greatly missed.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the school\u2019s obituary for him, he had graduated with a degree in film, television, and theatre in 2014. As fans of the athlete may know, Nix was a third-round draft pick in the NFL the same year. He went on to play for the <strong>Houston Texans<\/strong>, <strong>New York Giants<\/strong>, <strong>Washington Redskins<\/strong>, and the <strong>Jacksonville Jaguars<\/strong>. He was released from the Jaguars and ended his football career in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>A cause of death has been yet to be released. The news of Nix\u2019s death comes months after the NFL star was shot during a robbery while filling up his tires at a gas station. From the hospital, he tweeted:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI\u2019m alive everyone. The bullet that hit me ricocheted off my sternum into my lung. Surgery is the next step so keep praying for me.
