Princess Diana and Prince Charles were king and queen of the 2021 Golden Globes.<\/p>\n

Both Emma Corrin, who plays the late Diana, and Josh O\u2019Connor, who portrays Charles, on \u201cThe Crown\u201d scored the big wins for best acting in a drama. \u201cThe Crown\u201d also won best dramatic TV series<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost of all, thank you so much to Diana,\u201d Corrin, 25, said. \u201cYou have taught me compassion and empathy beyond any measure that I could ever imagine, and on behalf of everyone who remembers you so fondly and passionately in our hearts, thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Corrin plays Diana in Season 4 of the hit Netflix show, spanning her life from the ages of 16 to 28. The show leaves no stone unturned as it shows Diana\u2019s engagement and rise to fame, her struggles with bulimia and her crumbling marriage to Charles.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Connor, who returned in Season 4 as the Prince of Wales, meanwhile touted an issue that\u2019s become important for both Prince William and Prince Harry in his speech \u2014 mental health awareness.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very lucky to be able to work in this period, so many people who are unable to work and are alone and isolated,\u201d he concluded his speech. \u201cI hope we can all collectively put mental health at the forefront of our minds.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Connor also shouted out his fellow winner Corrin, whom he called \u201cextraordinary, talented, funny and brilliant,\u201d and the rest of the cast. \u201cI\u2019ve had the time of my life making this series,\u201d he said, while wiping away tears. \u201cTo our incredible cast: Every day working with you was a master class.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor\u2019s call for mental health awareness comes days after Prince Harry, 36, recently revealed during an interview with \u201cThe Late Late Show\u201d host James Corden<\/a> that he stepped away from his role in the palace because the media<\/a> coverage was \u201cdestroying\u201d his mental health.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all know what the British press can be like, and it was destroying my mental health,\u201d he said. \u201cI was like, this is toxic. So I did what any husband and what any father would do.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the expansive interview, Harry revealed that he watches \u201cThe Crown\u201d \u2014 and it\u2019s similar to the pressures of royal life.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey don\u2019t pretend to be news<\/a> \u2014 it\u2019s fictional, but it\u2019s loosely based on the truth,\u201d he said of the show. \u201cIt gives you a rough idea about what the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else \u2014 what can come from that.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also finds it easier to digest the show than news about his life.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m way more comfortable with \u2018The Crown\u2019 than I am seeing the stories written about my family or my wife or myself,\u201d he said. \u201cThat is obviously fiction \u2014 take it how you will \u2014 but this is being reported on as fact because it\u2019s supposedly news. I have a real issue with that.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
