Who needs a TV when you can spy on your neighbors?<\/p>\n

That\u2019s what Michael Grant (Rockmond Dunbar<\/a>) is up to in TV Insider\u2019s exclusive sneak peek of the March 1 episode of 9-1-1<\/em><\/a>, \u201cThere Goes the Neighborhood.\u201d But what does ex-wife (and LAPD sergeant) Athena (Angela Bassett<\/a>) think of his new hobby?<\/p>\n

Michael has done a bit of renovating \u2014 \u201cNow that I\u2019m home more, I felt like it would be too dark in here, so I want to just blow it out and bring in some more light,\u201d he explains \u2014 and he doesn\u2019t have to worry about the Home Owners\u2019 Association\u2019s app<\/a>roval since he\u2019s president now.<\/p>\n

As for the telescope that he sets up in different windows, that\u2019s his \u201cother new hobby: spying on the neighbors,\u201d their son, Harry (Marcanthonee Jon Reis), informs his mother. \u201cWho knew that people watching could be better than TV?\u201d Michael offers as an explanation.<\/p>\n

And his hobby turns into a bit of amateur detective work after he notices strange behavior in one of the apartments, and enlists both Athena and her husband Bobby\u2019s (Peter Krause<\/a>) help.<\/p>\n

Watch the clip above to \u201cmeet\u201d some of the neighbors he has his eye on, find out his nicknames for them, and see what Athena thinks.<\/p>\n

On the more personal front, Hen\u2019s (Aisha Hinds<\/a>) mom not only shows up for a surprise visit, but also announces she\u2019s moving to Los Angeles, and Buck\u2019s (Oliver Stark<\/a>) attempt to start dating again ends in disaster.<\/p>\n
