“#’Wynonna Earp’s Tim Rozon Teases an Ending That Will Make Earpers Happ<\/a>y<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Earpers fought for Wynonna Earp<\/a><\/em> and were rewarded with a fourth season. But that\u2019s not the end of the good news<\/a>, according to series<\/a> star Tim Rozon<\/a>, who plays Doc Holliday. (Yes, that<\/em> Doc Holliday, the gunslinger from the O.K. Corral in the 1800s, thanks to a deal with a witch.)<\/p>\n

The ending, he promises, will please even the most ardent fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love the ending of the show, if that is truly [it],\u201d he teases, \u201cespecially for my character. I remember telling Meredith Jacobs, TV Insider Emily [Andras]<\/a>, \u2018Thank you. I thought you did an incredible job. You showed him so much love and compassion and growth.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The series \u2014 which premieres March 5 with the second half of its fourth season \u2014 ends its run on Syfy with this last batch of episodes.<\/p>\n

But they almost didn\u2019t happen. And because Rozon knows how hard fans campaigned to bring the show back \u2014 it took two years for it to return after Season 3 ended \u2014 he cares about what they think, too, he says.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think everybody\u2019s going to be very happy,\u201d he says. \u201cThe Earpers deserve it the most. They\u2019re the reason we got as far as we ever did.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt almost never happened, twice,\u201d he says, for reasons including the production shutting down due to COVID. \u201cI tried to enjoy every second I possibly could with that character. It\u2019s difficult, now that it\u2019s more real than ever that the show most likely isn\u2019t coming back, to say goodbye. \u2026 It\u2019s one of my most favorite characters I ever played. He just has a special place in my heart, the ol\u2019 cowboy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earpers, of course, hope that Wynonna Earp<\/em> lives on, but the actor says he hasn\u2019t hard anything of the sort yet. And he\u2019d have to have some notice, he says, \u201cbecause I\u2019d have to grow the mustache.\u201d<\/p>\n

What we do know is that there are six more episodes with that mustache, plus couples Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano<\/a>) and Doc, and Waverly Earp (Dominique Provost-Chalkley<\/a>) and Nicole Haught (Katherine Barrell<\/a>), who have special places in our<\/em> hearts.<\/p>\n

The former couple\u2019s relationship is quite messy and, based on the trailer, will continue to be so; last we saw them, he wasn\u2019t too happy that the demon hunter shot Hoyt (Ty Olsson), a member of the Earp-hating Clantons, in the back.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoc is really done with the old life. He understands sometimes to move forward we gotta let the old ways die,\u201d Rozon says. \u201cWynonna hasn\u2019t yet, [even though] the curse [making it necessary for her to kill demon revenants] is gone. He just sees it as, \u2018Why are you fighting it? Did you somehow come to love the fight?\u2019 They can never be together if she doesn\u2019t let go, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

At least WayHaught\u2019s happy. Waverly and Nicole are engaged (officially, finally), and their love story is \u201cjust magic,\u201d Rozon says. And while Wynonna and Doc\u2019s may be \u201ca little closer to real life,\u201d he thinks that \u201ctrue love like [Waverly and Nicole\u2019s] does exist.\u201d<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll have to wait and see if that culminates in a wedding in these final episodes.<\/p>\n
