\u200bFormer CIA Director John Brennan says he is \u201cincreasingly embarrassed\u201d to be a white man.<\/p>\n

The comment was made on MSNBC<\/a> Monday, during a conversation about the weekend\u2019s Conservative Political Action Conference, how the storming of the Capitol was interpreted, and the event\u2019s focus on \u201ccancel culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Host Nicolle Wallace questioned how Republicans could proclaim themselves the law and order party in the aftermath\u00a0of Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick\u2019s death following the Jan. 6 mayhem.<\/p>\n

\u200b\u201cI\u2019m increasingly embarrassed to be a white male these days with what I see other white males say,\u201d Brennan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith very few exceptions, like [Sen.] Mitt Romney, [Rep.] Liz Cheney, [Rep.] Adam Kinzinger, there are so few Republicans in Congress who value truth, honesty, and integrity,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Former President Donald Trump\u00a0was greeted with a standing ovation as he took the stage in Orlando, Fla., to declare that\u00a0 \u201cour movement \u2026 is just getting started.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI stand before you today to declare that the incredible journey we began together four years ago is far from over,\u201d Trump told the enthusiastic crowd.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur movement of proud, hard-working American patriots is just getting started,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd in the end we will win!\u201d<\/p>\n

While making clear that he intends to remain a force in the Republican Party, Trump hinted at a possible 2024 run for president.<\/p>\n

Referring to Democrats, he said, \u201cI may even decide to beat them for a third time,\u201d drawing deafening cheers from attendees.<\/p>\n

Former Sen. Claire McCaskill noted that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) at CPAC accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of rejecting a request to have the National Guard ready before Jan. 6.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have never seen so many whiny white men calling themselves victims as I saw over the weekend at CPAC. These are all people that think they have a huge grievance from a position of significant privilege,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

In a 2014 interview with the New York Times<\/a>, then-CIA boss John Brennan infamously defended the agency\u2019s use of torture, following a scathing Senate report showing the program did not produce valuable information and that the agency misled White House officials on that fact.<\/p>\n

The Times reported Brennan saying at the time that \u201cenhanced interrogation techniques\u201d \u201chad value,\u201d despite it being \u201cunknowable\u201d whether useful information had been gleaned from it.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
