This is good <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> and an indication we\u2019re headed in the right direction, but a lot of work remains,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/infrastructurereportcard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/National_IRC_2021-report.pdf\" class=\"icon none\">the ASCE said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       The latest grade comes as President Joe Biden and the Democratic-run House and Senate plan to push for massive infrastructure spending after the latest COVID-19 aid package is enacted later this month. Biden has begun to intensify his <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/joebiden.com\/build-back-better\/\" class=\"icon none\">\u201cBuild Back Better\u201d pitch<\/a> on infrastructure after campaigning on improving U.S. roads and bridge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 2021 grades range from a B in rail to a D- in transit,\u201d added the ASCE, which releases its \u201cReport Card for America\u2019s Infrastructure\u201d every four years and began issuing the document in 1998. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cFive category grades \u2014 aviation, drinking water, energy, inland waterways, and ports \u2014 went up, while just one category \u2014 bridges \u2014 went down. And stormwater infrastructure received its first grade: a dis<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ointing D. Overall, eleven category grades were stuck in the D range, a clear signal that our overdue bill on infrastructure is a long way from being paid off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>From the archives (May 2017):<\/strong> U.S. gets D+ grade on its infrastructure report card<\/p>\n<p><strong>And see:<\/strong> Opinion: Our crumbling infrastructure is hurting U.S. competitiveness<\/p>\n<p>The engineering society estimated that the country is \u201cstill just paying about half of our infrastructure bill \u2014 and the total investment gap has gone from $2.1 trillion over 10 years to nearly $2.59 trillion over 10 years.\u201d The ASCE also said it \u201curges bold leadership and action, sustained investment, and a focus on resilience to raise the national infrastructure grade over the next four years, so that every American family, community, and business can thrive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Investors in infrastructure plays have been anticipating the potential for greater spending with a Democratic-run Washington, pushing the Global X U.S. Infrastructure Development ETF<br \/>\n        PAVE,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/200238288\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.01%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       up by 11% so far this year, topping the broad S&amp;P 500 stock index\u2019s<br \/>\n        SPX,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210599714\/realtime\" class=\"negative\">-0.47%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       rise of 3%.<\/p>\n<p>But hopes for more infrastructure spending often have been dashed in recent years, turning \u201cInfrastructure Week\u201d into a joke in Washington. <\/p>\n<div id=\"cx-membership-tile\"><\/div>\n<p>Biden is slated to meet on Thursday with a bipartisan group of\u00a0House\u00a0lawmakers on infrastructure, with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg also attending, according to the White House.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInfrastructure is going to be very important. I\u2019m looking forward to this administration putting forth his infrastructure plan, which is going to come very soon,\u201d said the No. 3 House Democrat, Rep.
