Homer and his family aren\u2019t leaving Springfield \u2014 or the primetime schedule \u2014 anytime soon. FOX has renewed The Simpsons<\/em> TV show for a 33rd season (2021-22) and a 34th season (2022-23).<\/p>\n

An animated family comedy series, The Simpsons<\/em> stars the voices of Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, and Harry Shearer. Now the longest-running American sitcom, the show revolves around working stiff Homer Simpson (Castellaneta), his understanding blue-haired wife Marge (Kavner), delinquent son Bart (Cartwright), intellectual daughter Lisa (Smith), infant daughter Maggie, and their Springfield relations, friends, foes, and neighbors. <\/em> <\/span><\/p>\n

Airing on Sunday nights, the 32nd season of The Simpsons<\/em> averages a 0.91 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.59 million viewers. Compared to season 31, that\u2019s down by 3% in the demo and even in viewership in the traditional live+same day ratings.<\/p>\n

Emmy Award-winning Animation Domination kingpin THE SIMPSONS has been renewed for its 33rd and 34th seasons on FOX, carrying the series to 2023 and a total of 757 episodes. \u00a1Ay, caramba!<\/p>\n

Matt Groening, creator and executive producer of THE SIMPSONS added, \u201cEveryone at THE SIMPSONS is thrilled to be renewed once more, and we are planning lots of big surprises. Homer will lose a hair, Milhouse will get contact lenses, and Bart will celebrate his tenth birthday for the thirty-third time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The longest-running primetime script<\/a>ed show in television history, THE SIMPSONS exploded into popular culture in 1990 and has remained one of the most groundbreaking and innovative entertainment franchises, recognizable throughout the world. HOMER (Dan Castellaneta), MARGE (Julie Kavner), BART (Nancy Cartwright), LISA (Yeardley Smith) and MAGGIE are instantly identifiable television icons. Rounding out this cast of characters are many beloved Springfield residents, including tavern proprietor MOE SZYSLAK (Hank Azaria) and nuclear power plant owner MR. BURNS (Harry Shearer). The Emmy Award-, Annie Award- and Peabody Award-winning animated comedy began its 32nd season this past September and will celebrate a landmark 700 episode with the all-new episode, \u201cManger Things,\u201d airing Sunday, March 21 (8:00-8:30 PM ET\/PT).<\/p>\n

On the next all-new episode, \u201cYokel Hero\u201d airing this Sunday, March 7 (8:00-8:30 PM ET\/PT), Cletus becomes a singing sensation, while Homer becomes a new man. Then Cletus turns on his fans, ruining everything. Albert Brooks makes a guest-voice appearance.<\/p>\n

This season, THE SIMPSONS is averaging 7.0 million viewers across all platforms, marking a +146% lift from Live + Same Day. Television\u2019s most-followed program, with 63 million social media<\/a> fans, THE SIMPSONS\u2019 Season 32 premiere last September was its highest-rated return in five years, most-watched launch in six years and most-streamed premiere ever on Hulu and FOX NOW.<\/p>\n
