There are some Telegram groups and conversations where it\u2019s best if messages are automatically deleted in a day or a week. Here\u2019s how to auto-delete messages in any Telegram chat.<\/p>\n<p>You can enable the auto-delete feature on a per-chat basis. It works for both one-on-one conversations and group chats. Telegram starts the timer once they are sent, not after they are read. This won\u2019t affect the messages that were sent before enabling the feature.<\/p>\n<p>The process for enabling the auto-delete feature is different on Android and iPhone, so we\u2019ll cover both methods below.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Auto-Delete_Messages_in_Telegram_for_Android\"><\/span>Auto-Delete Messages in Telegram for Android<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can enable the Auto-Delete feature from the \u201cClear History\u201d menu in <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=org.telegram.messenger&amp;hl=en_IN&amp;gl=US\">Telegram for Android<\/a>.
