Some things just never belong on pizza.<\/p>\n

People put a lot of different toppings on their\u00a0pizza. Some, like pepperoni, are fairly common and non-controversial. Others, such as pineapp<\/a>le, are quite divisive.\u00a0White House\u00a0Press Secretary\u00a0Jen Psaki<\/a>\u00a0recently said the citrus fruit was \u201cgross\u201d on a good slice\u00a0\u2013 but that\u2019s a\u00a0different story<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With that being said, it\u2019s probably safe to say that Fruit Loops on pizza are among the\u00a0more controversial pizza toppings.<\/p>\n

A pizza place in Iowa has gained viral fame for putting the brightly colored cereal on pizza,\u00a0Today\u00a0reports.<\/a> The pizza is produced by Fong\u2019s Pizza and is listed on the restaurant\u2019s menu in the breakfast section as \u201cLoopy Fruits Pizza.\u201d The dessert-style\u00a0dish\u00a0features a sweet cream cheese sauce, mozzarella cheese and the fruity cereal.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to provide an option that we thought would be fun for children because of the suburban market. But also we love doing things that are just off-the-wall,\u201d the restaurant\u2019s co-founder Gwen Page told the outlet.\u00a0\u201cLike what can we do to give people that truly unique experience? That\u2019s what we strive for at Fong\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Twitter,\u00a0one user<\/a>\u00a0called the pizza \u201ca sacrilege\u201d and \u201can affront to every Italian.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another\u00a0agreed<\/a>, \u201cHard pass for me, too \u2014 love fruit loops, love pizza, but some things are best savored separately!\u201d<\/p>\n

Not everyone was against the pizza, however.\u00a0One user<\/a>\u00a0wrote, \u201cIf it\u2019s on a regular pepperoni, cheese, and sauce pizza, that\u2019s disgusting! However, that sounds like a great idea for a dessert pizza!\u201d<\/p>\n

Others seemed skeptical but were willing to give it a shot.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ingredients don\u2019t really sound like they\u2019d mesh well,\u201d one commenter\u00a0opined<\/a>, \u201cbut I\u2019d try Fruit Loops pizza if I could.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n
