The discount refers to when shares in the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust trade for less than the value of the underlying Bitcoin (normally they trade at a premium). <\/p>\n<p>Looking at historical data, said that <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Grayscale <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a> Trust Discount May Signal March to $100,000 &#8211; Bitcoin&#8217;s end of February price disparities on U.S. regulated exchanges portend a firming price foundation, if history is a guide, and are evidence of just how nascent the crypto is. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/qj6hfTvH8K\">pic.twitter.com\/qj6hfTvH8K<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mike McGlone (@mikemcglone11) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mikemcglone11\/status\/1367446282025902080?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 4, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> user \u201cLee Hendricks\u201d wasn\u2019t convinced, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lhendricks92\/status\/1367497604695793669?s=20\">suggesting<\/a> the catalyst for Grayscale\u2019s discount could be the result of pressure from upcoming ETFs and other crypto funds. (Although that&#8217;s arguably bullish too.)<\/p>\n<p>The Bloomberg strategist isn\u2019t the only expert with high expectations for BTC, with influencer and YouTuber Lark Davis <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheCryptoLark\/status\/1367321657119891458?s=20\">stating<\/a> on Mar. 4 that \u201cwe are just now past the first major price wave,\u201d with two more, larger waves to come.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/bitcoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#bitcoin<\/a> bull run has barely even started yet! We are just now past the first major price wave. Get ready for wave 2. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/kRzAqlB2E8\">pic.twitter.com\/kRzAqlB2E8<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Lark Davis (@TheCryptoLark) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheCryptoLark\/status\/1367321657119891458?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 4, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>On March 2, technical analyst Kaleo <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CryptoKaleo\/status\/1366520688492838912?s=20\">posted<\/a> a chart predicting BTC will hit $100,000 near the start of April this year.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a follow-up on his \u201cBitcoin Halving Reward Era Price\u201d analysis <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/chart\/BLX\/Zq1yrDuQ-Bitcoin-Halving-Reward-Era-Price-Analysis\/\">chart <\/a>two years ago predicting the price would reach $200,000 around mid-2021. He <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CryptoKaleo\/status\/1360664422872723457?s=20\">tweeted<\/a> two weeks ago that he still has faith in it:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt is by far the most accurate, long-term chart prediction I&#8217;ve ever seen for Bitcoin&#8230;\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24BTC&amp;src=cashtag_click\">$BTC<\/a> will hit $200K+ this cycle.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Another analyst who goes by the Twitter name <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MasterChangz\/status\/1367318138958671876?s=20\">MasterChangz<\/a>, told his 10,000 followers he believes Bitcoin will hit the $200,000 mark even earlier than mid-2021, potentially at the start of April. The next rise, he said, is to $77,000 over the next two weeks.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Ok this bull run fractal is become more insanely accurate by the day.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m literally making bank of trading it, its like a cheat sheet.<\/p>\n<p>$77,000 next up.<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BTC?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BTC<\/a> <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/JJS4Huu6ri\">pic.twitter.com\/JJS4Huu6ri<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014  (@MasterChangz) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MasterChangz\/status\/1367318138958671876?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 4, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Other predictions are even bolder with Kraken CEO Jesse Powell <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-03-04\/bitcoin-could-reach-1-million-in-next-decade-kraken-ceo-says\">stating<\/a> the cryptocurrency could reach $1 million or even &#8220;infinity&#8221; in a Bloomberg television interview on Mar. 4, adding that it will eventually become the world\u2019s currency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can only speculate, but when you measure it in terms of dollars, you have to think it\u2019s going to infinity,\u201d he said. \u201cThe true believers will tell you that it\u2019s going all the way to the moon, to Mars and eventually, will be the world\u2019s currency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kraken Head of Growth Dan Held, echoed this prediction on Mar. 5, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/danheld\/status\/1367505292355919893?s=20\">claiming<\/a> on Twitter that:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBitcoin is more likely to hit $1,000,000 than $0.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Even past Bitcoin skeptics are becoming crypto converts with investment firm Sanders Morris Harris CEO George Ball <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wqpGAjV9ZdQ\">admitting<\/a> to Yahoo Finance on Mar. 4 that he believes cryptocurrencies are now \u201cattractive\u201d as a \u201csmall part\u201d of any portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With the cryptocurrencies, I think there is a fundamental hydra-headed shift that makes them attractive as a part, a small part, of almost any portfolio,&#8221; Ball said.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this wave of optimism, history also <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/u.today\/bitcoin-btc-enters-its-most-bearish-month-see-statistics\">suggests<\/a> March could be a bloody month, with Bitcoin\u2019s price falling across the month in six of the past nine years by an average of 5.8%. The most recent of these occurred last year on Black Thursday when the price plunged by 50%.
