It\u2019s a marketing program that charges a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sell.amazon.com\/programs\/launchpad.html?tag=hotoge-20\">5% premium for sellers<\/a> in exchange for inclusion in the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Launchpad\/b?ie=UTF8&amp;node=12034488011&amp;tag=hotoge-20\">Launchpad storefront<\/a>, special email promotions, and preferred placement during holiday and Prime Day events.<\/p>\n<p>Launchpad began as a \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2015\/07\/28\/amazon-takes-aim-at-startups-with-a-new-marketplace-called-launchpad\/?tag=hotoge-20\">partnership<\/a>\u201d (what this means exactly is not clear) with venture capital firms and accelerators such as Y Combinator, Andreessen Horowitz, and Indiegogo to capitalize on the recent startup craze.
