Get ready to party again! Starz is developing a limited series revival of the cancelled Party Down<\/i> TV series. Adam Scott, Ken Marino, Lizzy Caplan, Martin Starr, Megan Mullally, Ryan Hansen, Jane Lynch, and Jennifer Coolidge starred in the single-camera comedy which follows a group of caterers living in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Rob Thomas, Paul Rudd, John Enbom, and Dan Etheridge are all behind the potential revival as executive producers. Starz aired two seasons of the comedy before it ended in 2010.<\/p>\n

Starz revealed more about the revival in a press release.<\/p>\n

\u201cStarz today announced it is reviving the party and developing a six-part Party Down<\/i> limited series. The new original comedy is being developed and executive produced by Party Down<\/i> alumni Rob Thomas (\u201cVeronica Mars,\u201d \u201ciZombie\u201d) along with John Enbom (iZombie, Benched<\/i>), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man, Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/i>) and Dan Etheridge (Veronica Mars, iZombie<\/i>). Enbom also serves as showrunner. The limited series is produced for Starz by Lionsgate Television.<\/p>\n

Party Down<\/i> follows a Los Angeles catering team \u2013 a sextet of Hollywood wannabes stuck working for tips while hoping for their \u201cbig break.\u201d Each episode of this half-hour comedy finds the hapless catering team working a new event \u2013 and inevitably getting tangled up with the colorful guests and their absurd lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore the cast of Party Down<\/i> became well-known television and movie actors and award winners, they were all wearing the same pink bowties as part of a less than competent team of Los Angeles cater-waiters while chasing their dreams of stardom on the STARZ series,\u201d said Christina Davis, President of Original Programming for Starz. \u201cFans have been waiting more than 10 years for this revival to happ<\/a>en and we\u2019re thrilled to be in development with Rob, Paul, Dan and John at the helm.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the end of 2019, the Party Down<\/i> cast and producers were all reunited at a retrospective for the show hosted by Vulture. We had such a good time that we wanted to find a way to get the team back together again,\u201d said Rob Thomas. \u201cThe cast is so busy these days that finding a window where we can do it may require trigonometry, but we\u2019re determined to make it happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It is not known if all or any of the original cast members would be returning for the revival.<\/p>\n
