{"id":195630,"date":"2021-03-05T16:42:51","date_gmt":"2021-03-05T13:42:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/379k-jobs-added-6-2-percent-unemployment\/"},"modified":"2021-03-05T16:42:51","modified_gmt":"2021-03-05T13:42:51","slug":"379k-jobs-added-6-2-percent-unemployment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/379k-jobs-added-6-2-percent-unemployment\/","title":{"rendered":"#379K jobs added, 6.2 percent unemployment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#379K jobs added, 6.2 percent unemployment<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>American employers went on a stronger-than-expected hiring spree in February as a sharp drop in coronavirus infections\u00a0and rising vaccinations loosened the pandemic\u2019s grip on the labor market.<\/p>\n<p>The US economy added 379,000 jobs last month, beating economists\u2019 estimates for a gain of 171,000 on the heels of January\u2019s addition of 166,000, more than <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>le the number previously reported.<\/p>\n<p>The unemployment rate, meanwhile, edged down to 6.2 percent, its lowest level since the start of the COVID-19 crisis last March but still well above the 50-year low of 3.5 percent reached a year ago, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The closely watched report suggests the job market is in for a big springtime bloom as businesses emerge from the wave of coronavirus lockdowns that hampered growth in the winter, experts said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the coming weeks and months, as weather improves across the country, businesses welcome back more customers, and more vaccinations are administered, we should see a more substantial pick-up in hiring,\u201d said Mark Hamrick, senior economic analyst at Bankrate.<\/p>\n<p>But the workforce is still climbing out of the deep hole that the COVID-19 pandemic dug for the global economy nearly a year ago.
