Iconoclast: Why Isn\u2019t Biden a Nazi, Too?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The left acted like President Trump \u201cwas always either embodying the evils of the Second World War or propelling humanity into a third,\u201d but now that President Biden is \u201cdoing a lot of the same things,\u201d it\u2019s telling that no one is calling him a Nazi, notes Spiked Online\u2019s Brendan O\u2019Neill<\/a>. The Biden administration is \u201ccaging kids from Mexico, bombing the Middle East, demanding that the fake-news<\/a> media<\/a> be \u2018reined in\u2019 \u2014 but app<\/a>arently it isn\u2019t fascism anymore!\u201d Instead of Nazism, Biden\u2019s facilities are \u201cdesigned to \u2018assist\u2019 unaccompanied arrivals,\u201d and his bombing of Iranian forces was \u201ca nice military attack.\u201d Those with a grown-up approach to politics know it\u2019s \u201cwrong to abuse language and truth in order to depict yourselves as the good guys even when you\u2019re doing exactly what the \u2018bad guy\u2019 did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Foreign desk: Joe\u2019s Backfiring Trump Obsession<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tehran\u2019s refusal this week to discuss bringing the US back into the 2015 nuclear deal \u201cdealt a major setback\u201d to President Biden\u2019s \u201cnascent foreign policy,\u201d declares Fred Fleitz at Fox News<\/a>. Perhaps its rulers believe \u201cwhatever they negotiate will be immediately reversed by a Republican president\u201d in 2025. Besides, regimes don\u2019t take Biden\u2019s foreign policy seriously \u201cbecause it has no focus other than reinstituting [President Barack] Obama\u2019s failed policies and undoing\u201d President Trump\u2019s accomplishments. Given Trump\u2019s dominance on the world stage, they \u201cview Biden\u2019s constant refrain of \u2018America is back\u2019 as utter foolishness.\u201d To establish credibility, Biden needs to halt \u201cthe juvenile attacks\u201d on his predecessor and offer \u201chard-hitting policies to defend America\u2019s security and freedom,\u201d even if it means \u201csometimes continuing Trump policies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Conservative: Race Theorists Dodge Debate<\/strong><\/p>\n

At City Journal, Christopher F. Rufo points out<\/a> \u201cthe critical race theorists\u2019 refusal to submit their ideas to public scrutiny.\u201d While the likes of New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg pretend the right refuses to engage, in fact: \u201cFor more than a year, prominent black intellectuals, including John McWhorter, Glenn Loury, Wilfred Reilly, and Coleman \u00adHughes, have challenged the critical race theorists to debate \u2014 and none has accepted.\u201d Most important, the left won\u2019t confront the simple fact that \u201cCRT-based programs are often hateful, divisive, and filled with falsehoods; they traffic in racial stereotypes, collective guilt, racial segregation, and race-based harassment.\u201d Folks want to know: Do CRT-pushers \u201csupport public schools forcing first-graders to deconstruct their racial and sexual identities?\u201d Or telling white teachers \u201cthey are guilty of \u2018spirit murdering\u2019 black children?\u201d<\/p>\n

2024 watch: The Donald\u2019s Not Going Anywhere<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stephen L. Miller at Spectator US has no doubt:<\/a> \u201cDonald Trump will command the stage for as long as he wants it.\u201d He\u2019s not \u201cdisappearing to live the range life and he has no intentions of remaining quiet\u201d \u2014 that just wouldn\u2019t be Trump. Despite nearing 75 and having served only one term, the former president still believes he\u2019s the future of the party. Miller counts \u201cnine serious presidential contenders heading into 2024 not named Donald Trump Senior.\u201d But he reckons that \u201cseveral of them will eagerly await to hear\u201d Trump\u2019s plans \u201cbefore declaring their own.\u201d Meanwhile, The Donald will freeze \u201cthe entire field of 2024 candidates.\u201d<\/p>\n

Libertarian: Stick With the Ban on Earmarks<\/strong><\/p>\n

A fight that\u2019s now \u201cbrewing\u201d over whether Congress should restore earmarks (goodies inserted into spending bills for \u201cpolitically favored entities\u201d) will only \u201cdistract\u201d from the fact that \u201cthe government is excessively big\u201d already, warns Veronique de Rugy at Creators Syndicate<\/a>. Before earmarks were banned in 2011, they drew headlines over such outrageous examples as the \u201cbridge to nowhere\u201d in Alaska, which would have cost the federal government millions but served only a small number of people. Proponents say allowing these special-interest perks again would strengthen bipartisanship, but there\u2019s plenty of that already when it comes to overall spending. Indeed, over the past decade, outlays have \u201cexploded,\u201d despite the lack of earmarks. \u201cThrowing money at special interests,\u201d after all, \u201cis what Congress does.\u201d <\/p>\n
