The hunt for the new James Bond is turning wild.<\/p>\n

Celebrity survivalist Bear Grylls claimed that he has been \u201capproached\u201d to play the big screen\u2019s most famous spy, 007.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been approached to play Bond by a few people I can\u2019t name,\u201d the 46-year-old adventurer best known for his daring survival skills on \u201cMan Vs. Wild\u201d told The Sun on Sunday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s flattering. I\u2019m privileged to be considered,\u201d he said, suggesting it was a serious approach despite his Bond-like secrecy.<\/p>\n

Grylls did not reveal how far the talks have gone, and said he didn\u2019t \u201cwant to appear too greedy\u201d in wanting the role as the suave spy in the blockbuster movie franchise.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had so much more than I ever imagined and I\u2019m grateful with that,\u201d he told the UK paper.<\/p>\n

Grylls has more than a death-defying adventure streak to support his potential to replace Daniel Craig as Bond.<\/p>\n

Before finding TV fame, he served in the SAS \u2014 the elite UK fighting force similar to America\u2019s Delta Force \u2014 and went to Eton, one of the UK\u2019s poshest public schools, which was also attended by Bond creator Ian Fleming.<\/p>\n

\u201cI grew up loving Bond films,\u201d Grylls told the outlet. \u201cIt was such a landmark moment when a Bond film came out and you\u2019d go to the cinema.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
