Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were not the Royal Family members who raised concerns about how dark Archie\u2019s skin might be, according to a royal expert.<\/p>\n

Meghan Markle revealed in her tell-all Oprah interview that while still pregnant with Archie, she was told her son wouldn\u2019t have a royal title and that they wouldn\u2019t be entitled to security.<\/p>\n

There were \u201calso concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he\u2019s born,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Sussex wouldn\u2019t reveal who raised those concerns \u2014 but a royal watcher told The Sun<\/a> that the queen and her husband were not a part of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI should be clear here, I\u2019ve been told it\u2019s not the Queen, and it\u2019s not the Duke of Edinburgh,\u201d Chris Ship, ITV News<\/a>\u2019 Royal Editor, told the publication.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo that only leaves two family members,\u201d he added. \u201cThe two people you are left with is either his father Prince Charles or his brother Prince William or their wives.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the royal expert said the queen didn\u2019t come away unscathed from the bombshell interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s pretty serious,\u201d he continued. \u201cThey protected the Queen throughout this. But equally they are criticizing the institution of which she is head, and therefore you\u2019re criticizing his grandmother the Queen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked about the conversation later in the interview, Harry refused to elaborate much more.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat conversation I am never going to share, but at the time it was awkward, I was a bit shocked,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

But he did say that discussion of \u201cwhat will the kids look like?\u201d came \u201cright at the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was right at the beginning, when she wasn\u2019t going to get security, when members of my family were suggesting that she carries on acting, because there was not enough money to pay for her, all this sort of stuff,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
