From stunning racism and scary suicidal thoughts to tales of terrible royal tears, yesterday\u2019s tell-all was truly jaw-dropping for quite a few reasons.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Queen Elizabeth Makes Attempt At Unity Amid Interview Roll-Out \u2014 Will It Work?!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And believe us when we tell you \u2014 we aren\u2019t the only ones who think so, either. If you weren\u2019t scrolling through\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a><\/strong> while simultaneously watching Harry and Meghan lay it all out there, you seriously missed the show within the show! Just as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were giving Oprah more than she had probably bargained for, viewers on the <del>140-<\/del> 280-character social media network were tweeting\u00a0<em>all<\/em> the way through it.<\/p>\n<p>Here are just a few of the most notable reactions to Harry and Meghan\u2019s talk with the daytime TV queen (below):<\/p>\n<div id=\"toc_container\" class=\"no_bullets\">\n<p class=\"toc_title\">\nContents <span class=\"toc_toggle\">[hide]<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<ul class=\"toc_list\">\n<li>\n<span class=\"toc_number toc_depth_1\">1<\/span> On the interview itself\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<span class=\"toc_number toc_depth_1\">2<\/span> On suicidal thoughts\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<span class=\"toc_number toc_depth_1\">3<\/span> On racism\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<span class=\"toc_number toc_depth_1\">4<\/span> On the future\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<span class=\"toc_number toc_depth_1\">5<\/span> On The Night In <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"on-the-interview-itself\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"On_the_interview_itself\"><\/span>On the interview itself<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The entire interview \u2014 the set-up, the background scenery, the broad topics discussed, the fact that Harry and Meghan were even there in the first place \u2014 quickly went up for debate (below):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cMeghan and Harry allude to the terrifying truth, that [<strong>Prince<\/strong>] <strong>Charles<\/strong> and [<strong>Prince<\/strong>]<strong> William<\/strong> and <strong>Kate<\/strong> [<strong>Middleton<\/strong>] are deeply (and justifiably) afraid of the press because they didn\u2019t want the press to turn on them. The monarchy is fragile. Harry presents the \u2018Institution\u2019 as being unwilling to challenge the tabloids on their racism towards Meghan because they needed the press to be on the monarchy\u2019s side. They threw Meghan to the wolves as the sacrificial lamb.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was unprepared for the emotional violence of these revelations in the Meghan and Harry interview. The neglect, the cruelty, the racism\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThoughts on Harry and Meghan: 1.Racism is global. 2. So is bullying. 3. It\u2019s quite likely these folks really did end [<strong>Princess<\/strong>] <strong>Diana<\/strong>\u2018s life. 4. I\u2019ll never want to be a princess again, but this is the most attractive Harry has ever been to me. 5. California looks really pretty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s shocking is that even after all Harry and Meghan have said..the blatant racism, cruelty, lies, abandonment, jealousy \u2014 you still get the feeling they could say MUCH more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Meghan and Harry interview was this year\u2019s <strong>Oscars<\/strong>, and a blessed two hours without hearing about <strong>Trump<\/strong> (although the racism discussed was very Republican.) Oprah on a sunny day outdoors was also a great antidote to the pandemic lockdown blues\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 id=\"on-suicidal-thoughts\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"On_suicidal_thoughts\"><\/span>On suicidal thoughts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Meghan opened up a lot of eyes during Sunday night\u2019s sit-down by revealing how she\u2019d suffered from suicidal thoughts while living as a member of the Royal family. Viewers were stunned to hear the depth of her pain, while also thankful somebody with such a public presence was coming forward about them (below):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWoke up this morning imagining unknown others finally saying to a friend or loved one, \u2018I, too, think of suicide.\u2019 For that alone, I am grateful for Meghan Markle. Her courage will save lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome will criticize her because they mistakenly believe fame and fortune prevents suffering, but I hope instead they hear her story and say, \u2018If someone in her position needed mental health treatment, surely someone like me is justified in seeking it too.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeghan Markle is the perfect example as to why people who are suicidal don\u2019t speak up!! All I\u2019m seeing is \u2018She\u2019s an actress\u2019 and \u2018attention seeking\u2019 and ;she\u2019s a liar.\u2019 They only believe you when it\u2019s too f**king late\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s funny this time last year <strong>Caroline Flack<\/strong> took her life and all the media said \u2018be kind.\u2019 Now it\u2019s Meghan Markle saying she was suicidal it\u2019s attention seeking? The whole be kind didn\u2019t last long did it?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 id=\"on-racism\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"On_racism\"><\/span>On racism<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A much-discussed point of the interview centered on Meghan\u2019s reveal that the royal family was reportedly concerned about the potential color of\u00a0<strong>Master Archie<\/strong>\u2018s skin prior to his birth. That set off a much larger discussion about racism, and the role Buckingham Palace has played in perpetuating that imbalance for centuries:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe color of his skin?! I. AM. DISGUSTED. Say what you want about Harry &amp; Meghan doing this interview. However, the racism within the monarchy needs to be aired out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust so we\u2019re all clear, \u2018I think Meghan Markle lacks class\u2019 means \u2018I am a racist douche.\u2019 Hope this helps.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think this is most upsetting for me because we are literally witnessing the glass ceiling of racism having been at the floor of it for so long. Harry and Meghan have money, power and status, yet they still can\u2019t escape the discrimination. What hope do I have?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBuckingham Palace shouldn\u2019t even try to release a statement about this. How on earth can they possibly justify the racism that Harry, Meghan and Archie have gone through?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo in 10 years we\u2019re going look back at how Meghan was treated by UK media in a similar way we\u2019re now talking about #FreeBritney and #Diana except with added racism. What a disgrace, I wish them both the best. That interview was soul wrenching to watch. I hope it keeps getting better for Meghan and Harry from here on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201chugs to harry and meghan\u2026 im rooting for u guys.. hope everything will get better for your future endeavour\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeghan and Harry\u2026 idk if it\u2019s hopelessness or bravery that brought them to this moment (probably both) but I hope your lives are only good from here.
