It\u2019s an \u201cactual vision of hell.\u201d No, the idea that the song is an \u201canswer\u201d to police brutality, looting and economic depression isn\u2019t \u201cquixotic; it\u2019s insulting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culture beat: The Nike Revolution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The rioters\u2019 \u201cenablers\u201d include not just pundits, politicians and professors \u201cbut also corporate America,\u201d argues Daniel McCarthy in Spectator USA. \u201cTake Nike. You might think the sneaker company would be upset about having its stores ransacked.\u201d Nope.  That its stores have been looted \u201cproves it\u2019s the footwear brand of the revolution,\u201d with looters \u201ca walking advertisement.\u201d Others will now \u201cbuy Nikes so they can be part of the revolution, too.\u201d The company needn\u2019t worry \u201cthe revolution is going to expropriate the sneaker factories \u2014 those have already been profitably relocated to countries under communist rule. Woke capitalism and the communism that employs the most brutal policing imaginable against the likes of Uighurs and Tibetans make perfect allies.\u201d With its pro-protest ads, Nike and the rest of corporate America want you to know they totally reject  racism. \u201cJust not the Chinese variety.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campaign journal: 1968\u2019s Lesson for Dems<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The \u201c2020 presidential campaign is shaping up to be eerily similar to the 1968 campaign,\u201d Doug Schoen posits at Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a>. In 1968, Democrats embraced a \u201cfar-left\u201d platform to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ease protesters participating in \u201criots across the country\u201d \u2014 which only resulted in Republican Richard Nixon\u2019s \u201c49-state landslide\u201d on a \u201cpromise to restore \u2018law and order.\u2019 \u201d In 2020, we\u2019re again seeing \u201cwidespread civil unrest and violence\u201d and a president calling for \u201claw and order.\u201d If Democrats want to win in November, they can\u2019t repeat their 1968 mistake: Instead, they should \u201cemphasize unity\u201d and start criticizing \u201cviolence and civil disobedience, as well as looting.\u201d If Dems \u201cmove too far left while allowing riots and violence to define their party,\u201d warns Schoen, \u201cTrump and the Republicans will, like Nixon, emerge victorious.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sports desk: Drew Brees Did Nothing Wrong<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees told Yahoo Finance he would not join Colin Kaepernick in \u201ctaking a knee during the national anthem\u201d to protest \u201cpolice racism\u201d \u2014 an answer, The Washington Examiner\u2019s Quin Hillyer sighs, that immediately sparked outrage from the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a>-media mobs.\u201d Yet Brees gave a \u201crespectful, gracious and dignified\u201d response: While he understood the kneelers\u2019 concerns, he explained why he\u2019d \u201cnever agree with anyone disrespecting the flag,\u201d \u201cpraised the civil-rights movement\u201d and \u201curged unity.\u201d If the \u201cthought police\u201d can blast Brees for urging Kaepernick to pick a better time to protest than \u201cduring the national anthem,\u201d warns Hillyer, they\u2019re \u201cwell on their way to trampling\u201d American\u2019s \u201cliberty of con<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">science<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conservative: Dems \u2018Mugged by Reality\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>President Trump\u2019s \u201c \u2018offer\u2019 of military assistance to riot-torn American cities\u201d exposed an \u201cinconvenient truth,\u201d observes The Chicago Tribune\u2019s John Kass: \u201cLiberal Democratic governors and mayors have been mugged by reality.\u201d Early on, we saw \u201clegitimately angry but peaceful protests\u201d following George Floyd\u2019s death, but \u201canarchists and gangs of urban looters\u201d quickly hijacked the protests. Yet \u201cDemocratic governors and mayors did little if anything to stop the violence,\u201d thinking they could \u201cuse and tame\u201d the protesters. That \u201conly encouraged the criminals\u201d \u2014 prompting Trump\u2019s offer. But that \u201cshook\u201d Gov. Andrew Cuomo enough for him to \u201cbegin devouring\u201d Mayor Bill de Blasio.
