\n Okay, this is my latest shot at the Pulitzer \u2014 that means I best fully embrace this\u00a0opportunity to give iOS 14.4.1 a score out of ten based on how inspirational I deem it to be. My mind? Ready. My body? Raring. My will? Pure steel.<\/p>\n

So, compatriots and enemies, lovers and enemies, friends and enemies, I am here to claim my birthright and give iOS 14.4.1 the rating it was created to receive. Prepare yourself.<\/p>\n

First things first\u2026 what\u2019s going on with iOS 14.4.1?<\/p>\n

Basically, it\u2019s App<\/a>le\u2019s latest iPhone OS update. And in the interest of full accuracy \u2014 because that\u2019s what this piece is all about, after all \u2014 the company also released iPadOS 14.4.1 at the same time. Both of the updates had the same, uh, feature.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd Callum,\u201d I hear you say, adding some narrative depth and a different voice into this future-award winning article, \u201cwhat feature is that?\u201d<\/p>\n

Well, pal, \u201cfeature\u201d is quite a strong way to describe it. In fact, iOS 14.4.1 is a security update. On Apple\u2019s website<\/a> it\u2019s listed as a fix for a WebKit bug that would allow hackers and the like to potentially execute code on your device.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s iPadOS and iOS 14.4.1 in a nutshell.<\/p>\n

Now though, the rating. We can all agree this is boring as hell, right? Important, sure, but dull as dishwater. Where are the cool flashing lights? Or the sweet LIFEHAX? Or a hilariously new specific emoji I can post on Twitter<\/a> to get some sweet likes from? I\u2019ll tell you where:\u00a0nowhere.<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not feeling very inspired by iOS 14.4.1. In fact, I may be feeling negatively inspired. I have less spark now than before. But, surely, I find\u00a0some<\/em> inspiration in iOS 14.4.1?<\/p>\n

First off, security is pretty cool. That reminds me of Kevin Costner in\u00a0The Bodyguard.<\/em> And what\u2019s more inspirational than that? Secondly,\u00a0WebKit? Two words smushed together? Yeah! What\u2019s \u201cthe dictionary\u201d to tell us what\u2019s right and wrong? INSPIRATIONAL.<\/p>\n

So, without further ado\u2026 here\u2019s my score for how inspirational iOS 14.4.1 is:<\/p>\n
