Senator Lindsey Graham warned on Tuesday night that the migrant influx at the border could become a national security crisis as the children crossing today \u201ccould easily be terrorists tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Graham (R- S.C.) told Fox News\u2019 Sean Hannity<\/a> that the Southern border with Mexico has become a \u201cgreat way for terrorists to come into our country.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWord is out that the Trump\u00a0policies are being replaced by\u00a0the Biden administration [policy] that if\u00a0you get one\u00a0foot in America, you\u00a0are never going to leave,\u201d Graham said.<\/p>\n

The senator blamed the recent surge of migrants on the supposed lax immigration policies of President Biden.<\/p>\n

\u201cWord is out that the Trump policies are being replaced by the Biden administration [policy] that if you get one foot in America, you are never going to leave,\u201d Graham said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople will be coming \u2026 by the\u00a0hundreds of thousands by the\u00a0summer.\u00a0It is a humanitarian crisis.\u00a0It\u2019s going to be an economic\u00a0crisis for our cities along the border, and eventually\u00a0is going to be a national\u00a0security crisis, because they\u2019re children today but they could easily be terrorists tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Tuesday refused to characterize the spiraling situation at the US-Mexico border as a \u201ccrisis,\u201d even as the number of detained children has surged and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has resorted to asking for volunteers to help hold the line.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think we need to sit here and put new labels on what we have already conveyed is challenging, what we have conveyed is a top priority for the president, what our policy teams are working on every single day,\u201d said Psaki when asked at what point the White House acknowledges the existence of a crisis.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe think that it\u2019s most important to explain the substantive policy of what\u2019s happ<\/a>ening, what the root causes are of why these kids are coming and what we\u2019re doing to try to solve what is a very challenging circumstance at the border,\u201d Psaki later added. \u201cThat\u2019s the information the American people are looking for.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
