The 2021 Grammy Awards have left the door open for Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Mars tweeted an earnest app<\/a>eal to the Recording Academy to perform at this Sunday\u2019s show alongside .Paak, with whom he released a single, \u201cLeave the Door Open,\u201d in a new collaboration as Silk Sonic last week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cDear Grammys,\u201d Mars wrote<\/a>. \u201cIf you can see it in your hearts to allow two out of work musicians to perform at your show, we would appreciate it.\u201d<\/p>\n

It seems he was able to finesse<\/a> a deal.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the Recording Academy tweeted<\/a> a sly response that appeared to be a legitimate offer.<\/p>\n

\u201dWe have been trying to call you all week,\u201d the Grammys wrote. \u201cHave you changed your numbers? We would love for #silksonic<\/a> to make their TV debut at the #GRAMMYs<\/a>. Are you free this Sunday night? Follow back and we will DM for details.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Recording Academy and CBS \u2014 which will air the show at 8 p.m. Sunday \u2014 didn\u2019t respond to a request for comment from The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just released a song and could really use the promotion right now,\u201d the \u201cUptown Funk\u201d singer had said in his initial plea. \u201cWe have a lot riding on this record . . . We haven\u2019t been able to perform for a while and we just want to sing.\u201d<\/p>\n
