With Zion Williamson\u2019s jersey number being #1, cards featuring him and his jersey-matching serial number are extra valuable.<\/p>\n<p>Williamson is not the only player whose moments are fetching huge prices, with tokens depicting NFTs LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers recently selling for as much as $200,000, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbatopshot.com\/moment\/easyaces+2499f572-8280-4057-ac27-5603971de95d\">$125,000<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbatopshot.com\/moment\/lamelotilpure+3363f0c2-1193-43d3-9fd3-e518deff1c2b\">$80,000.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The growth of NBA Top Shot has seen collectors amass millions worth of NFTs since its soft launch in October 2020. An NFT collector named \u201cPranksy\u201d started off with a $600 initial investment, which has turned into a $7 million collection of Top Shot Highlights. <\/p>\n<p>The Wall Street Journal recently <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/nba-top-shot-nft-crypto-digital-collectibles-11615266042?mod=searchresults_pos2&amp;page=1\">covered <\/a>Top Shot collector Michael Levy, who spent $175,000 on a collection that is now worth roughly $20 million.<\/p>\n<p>Roham Gharegozlou, chief executive of Dapper Labs told the publication the team had not been prepared for Top Shot\u2019s explosive rise in popularity:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe knew this was rocket fuel [..] The thing that surprised me is how quickly mainstream basketball influencers adopted it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
