“#Dance your way into the weekend with Google\u2019s funky synth simulator<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n It\u2019s Friday, folks, and I\u2019ve discovered a great way to get in the weekend mood that I think you\u2019ll enjoy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier in the week, Google\u00a0Arts & Culture created a new digital exhibit<\/a> celebrating different pioneers of electronic music. <\/span>It also released an interactive 3D synth tool<\/a> as\u00a0a part of that \u2014 and it\u2019s highly addictive.<\/p>\n

You can head to the site<\/a> on your phone or desktop browser and line up five well-known syth machines to\u00a0play music using pre-defined\u00a0grids and dials. These synths include the Moog Memorymoog, the ARP Odessy, the Akai S900, the Roland CR-78, and the Fairlight CMI.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t worry if you don\u2019t know much about making music, you can try auto-generated randomized patterns, and the algorithm makes sure it produces something that\u2019s in sync. Be assured, it won\u2019t sound horrible.<\/p>\n

Once you feel comfortable, you can\u00a0play with these grids and dials on the\u00a0synths to create your own tunes. The best thing about this is that you can change a few things and make a composition that you would want to listen to while working. No need to rely on Spotify or Youtube<\/a> for those beats.<\/p>\n

While I used the 3D mode on the desktop to play with this tool, you could use the\u00a0AR mode on your compatible Android phone as well. You\u2019ll need the latest version of Google\u2019s ARCore app for that.<\/a><\/p>\n
