In keeping with his obstinate posture of denial and deflection, Gov. Andrew Cuomo has come up with a new excuse for his woes: cancel culture.<\/p>\n

Yes, Albany\u2019s tyrant, accused now by seven women of sexual harassment, the target of a federal investigation into underreporting COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes, asked to resign by the majority of New York house Democrats and the National Organization for Women, abandoned by the New York Times, New York magazine and other house organs of the left-leaning media<\/a>, subject of a just-opened police investigation in Albany \u2014 yes, Andrew Cuomo is simply a victim of the woke mob (e.g. crazy, hysterical ladies).<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople know the difference between playing to politics, bowing to cancel culture and the truth,\u201d Cuomo said Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

This is as laughable as his brother Chris\u2019s claim last week that to cover his brother\u2019s scandals would be journalistically unethical \u2014 despite Chris hosting Andrew on CNN constantly during the pandemic\u2019s height.<\/p>\n

\u201cPoliticians who don\u2019t know a single fact but yet form a conclusion and an opinion are, in my opinion, reckless and dangerous,\u201d Cuomo said. \u201cThe people of New York should not have confidence in a politician who takes an opinion without knowing any facts or substance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Says the man who demanded Eric Schneiderman immediately resign after abuse claims, no investigation necessary. Says the man who insisted that Brett Kavanaugh needed to take a lie detector test.<\/p>\n

Clearly, Andrew Cuomo still considers himself America\u2019s hero. Remember \u201cAmerican Crisis<\/a>: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic\u201d \u2014 the quickie book he wrote in the middle of this nightmare, New York among the worst-hit in the country, pocketing a reported seven-figure advance despite dead bodies stacked in unrefrigerated trucks and buried in mass graves here?<\/p>\n

Square that circle.<\/p>\n

Yet this guy, his delusions Shakespearean, seems to believe \u2014 as politically hobbled as he is, potentially criminally \u2014 that New York somehow needs him and his multiple, mushrooming scandals.<\/p>\n

Haven\u2019t we suffered enough?<\/p>\n

Andrew Cuomo is the worst kind of self-congratulatory, self-identified male feminist, one willing to \u201cbelieve all women\u201d only if it\u2019s politically advantageous.<\/p>\n

God made him a feminist, Cuomo has said, \u201cwhen he gave me three daughters.\u201d<\/p>\n

Imagine if any of Cuomo\u2019s daughters \u2014 all similar ages to some of his accusers \u2014 had a boss who pulled one fraction of what Cuomo\u2019s accused of doing. Think Cuomo would give him due process? Pity the state trooper reassigned to the Canadian border last year for dating Cuomo\u2019s then 25-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n

Yes, the actions of a father respectful of a grown woman\u2019s autonomy.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the upshot: If Cuomo resigns now, we may not know the worst of it.<\/p>\n

And really, we should know the worst of it.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
