The first social media<\/a> reactions for Zack Snyder\u2019s Justice League<\/em><\/strong> have hit the web, and it sounds like fans are going to be extremely satisfied with the director\u2019s cut of the DC Comics movie. The word \u201cepic\u201d and \u201cmasterpiece\u201d are thrown around rather liberally, but even without hyperbole, the reactions are rather positive overall. It\u2019s clear that this is a superior cut to the theatrical release of the movie from 2017, and you can find out why below.<\/span><\/p>\n

First up, our own Chris Evangelista wasn\u2019t quite as complimentary as others, but he also didn\u2019t come away hating it.<\/p>\n

\n

#ZackSnydersJusticeLeague<\/a> is a fascinating experiment. Far too long, and full of ideas that just don\u2019t work. And yet, it\u2019s better than expected. Snyder isn\u2019t trying to make a superhero movie here; he\u2019s striving for a LORD OF THE RINGS-style epic.<\/p>\n

It made me wish there were a JL trilogy and a plan for the larger universe, where this Aquaman and this Wonder Woman sync up with the solo movies<\/a> better, where Cyborg gets his due, etc. It\u2019s long but also too short in that respect.<\/p>\n

Several critics even went out of their way to watch the film multiple times, despite the fact that it\u2019s a four-hour movie. Perhaps they\u2019re a little over-zealous, and your mileage may vary depending on how invested you are in this corner of the DC Extended Universe (especially since it\u2019s not likely to continue). But at the very least, this sounds like something worth watching for the mere experience of it all.<\/p>\n

In Zack Snyder\u2019s Justice League, determined to ensure Superman\u2019s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad, and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
