Billie Eilish is having a blast at the Grammys.<\/p>\n

Wearing a glittery outfit, the typically somber 19-year-old performed \u201cEverything I Wanted\u201d at the 2021 Grammy Awards during the opening with brother Finneas. Billie stood on the roof of a car for her performance while her bro was atop a platform looking on as his sister crooned the heartbreaking song.<\/p>\n

Their performance was back-to-back with Haim, Black Pumas and Harry Styles. But the singer couldn\u2019t help dancing to Styles\u2019 \u201cWatermelon Sugar\u201d right before singing her brooding song.<\/p>\n

This year, the \u201cBad Guy\u201d singer is nominated for four awards, including Song of the Year for the title track off her hit album \u201cEverything I Wanted,\u201d an emotional song that touches on her mental health struggles. She\u2019s also nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year for the tune, plus Best Song Written.<\/p>\n
After sweeping the Grammys last year, Eilish\u00a0along with brother and co-writer\u00a0Finneas O\u2019Connell won the Visual-Media<\/a> Song award for her eponymous theme<\/a> to the James Bond movie, \u201cNo Time To Die\u201d which nobody has seen. This is the first win in history for a song from an unreleased movie. In normal times, a song is disqualified when voters can\u2019t watch it in context, but COVID has provoked yet another exception. The song came out in February 2020, when the movie was still due out in April of that year.<\/p>\n

During last year\u2019s awards show, Eilish scooped up a whopping five awards, including for Album of the Year. It was an honor she was apparently bashful about: In footage from the evening, she could be seen mouthing \u201cPlease don\u2019t be me\u201d before her name was announced. <\/p>\n

In the year since, she continued to stoke the flames of her fame \u2014 and came of age with a bona fide driver\u2019s license. She\u2019s been outspoken about the toll of toxic body-shaming comments<\/a> often made about her. In October, she was\u00a0photographed\u00a0wearing a tank top and shorts<\/a>\u00a0in lieu of her usual baggy attire, and recalled the stream of hurtful comments that followed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that the people around me were more worried about it than I was, because the reason I used to cut myself was because of my body,\u201d the \u201cOcean Eyes\u201d singer told Vanity Fair of\u00a0the trending tank top photo. \u201cTo be quite honest with you, I only\u00a0started wearing baggy clothes because of my body<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Grammy winner added that she was \u201creally, really glad\u201d the situation hadn\u2019t happened three years ago when she was \u201cin the midst of my horrible body relationship,\u201d or \u201cdancing a ton, five years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month, a documentary about her premiered on Apple TV+,\u00a0\u201cBillie Eilish: The World\u2019s a Little Blurry.\u201d\u00a0In it, she reveals that she was once so obsessed with Justin Bieber \u2014 who is now an outspoken Grammys critic \u2014 that her mother considered taking her to therapy to deal with her fixation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI literally remember sobbing into a pillow because I thought, \u2018I\u2019m never gonna feel this way about anyone [else],\u2019\u201d Eilish says of\u00a0the now-27-year-old \u201cHoly\u201d crooner. \u201cI literally was terrified that when I got a boyfriend when I was older that \u2026 he won\u2019t compare.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe World\u2019s a Little Blurry\u201d goes inside the making of Eilish\u2019s debut album, 2019\u2019s \u201cWhen We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?,\u201d which she made with her brother, Finneas \u2014\u00a0who produced and co-wrote the LP\u00a0\u2014 at their family home. The two siblings have an instinctive, symbiotic creative process built on their tight bond. While he is the architect behind her moody, otherworldly soundscapes \u2014 he even\u00a0won a Producer of the Year Grammy\u00a0for his efforts \u2014 it\u2019s clear that she still has her own vision, even vowing to direct all of her own videos at one point.<\/p>\n

Toward the end of the film, she reveals just how dark things have gotten for her. \u201cTo be honest with you, I didn\u2019t think I would make it to this age,\u201d says Eilish, who began struggling with depression after a serious hip injury forced her to stop dancing at 13. \u201cI was like 14, 15. I had razors hidden in places, and I had Band-Aids hidden in the little corner of my room. And I always had Band-Aids on my wrists. I was literally locking myself in the bathroom and making myself bleed \u2019cause I thought I deserved it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe World\u2019s a Little Blurry\u201d also reveals Eilish\u2019s secret relationship with 20-something Brandon \u201cQ\u201d Adams, which ended in 2019.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
