Courtney Love revealed that she nearly died over the summer from anemia after doctors stigmatized her \u201cfor being an addict.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople, I\u2019ve been sad, and extremely sick. Debilitated , in indescribable pain and in August at 97 pounds almost died in hospital from anemia( hemoglobin I had none ),\u201d she wrote on Instagram alongside a video of herself staring into the camera.<\/p>\n

The \u201cDoll Parts\u201d rocker said the discovery of an \u201cempathetic wise\u201d pain management doctor turned her life around after \u201cmany ill-equipped\u201d doctors focused only on her drug addiction. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut I\u2019m so good now . And on CBD oil . Which has removed ALMOST ALL the physical symptoms . And all the pain,\u201d Love, 56, continued. <\/p>\n

Love said she used to \u201cscoff at cannabis\/THC\u201d but CBD, which is derived from the hemp plant, has changed her life. She credited actor Woody Harrelson for enlightening her about its natural benefits and said it\u2019s helped her remain \u201c100 percent sober.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBear with me as I start to try and have a blast and help others every pain free day !!! I\u2019ve been basically bedridden . I thought I was broken for sure this time . But I\u2019m ok !\u201d she continued in her caption. \u201cSo I\u2019m just waking and I\u2019m frail. I\u2019ll be strong again soon !\u201d<\/p>\n

Love hashtagged Crohn\u2019s disease at the end of the caption. Though it doesn\u2019t app<\/a>ear Kurt Cobain\u2019s widow suffers from the autoimmune disease, she did say following the 2015 premiere of \u201cKurt Cobain: Montage of Heck\u201d that the Nirvana frontman sought treatment for Crohn\u2019s<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he should have been taking to the Mayo Clinic or whatever, but we did have Cedars-Sinai available to us,\u201d she explained, \u201cso he went there several times for Crohn\u2019s disease, endoscopies, a biopsy, over and over and over again.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
