\nJudging by the sound of these insider reports, things will never again be the same on The Talk<\/em>!<\/p>\n

The CBS<\/em> daytime hit is going through a major controversy right now as co-hosts Sharon Osbourne<\/strong> and\u00a0Sheryl Underwood<\/strong> are at odds after a heated on-air debate during a segment last week. As you\u2019ll recall from our earlier reporting on the topic, it all started when Osbourne defended longtime pal\u00a0Piers Morgan<\/strong> after\u00a0his<\/em> own on-air meltdown days earlier on Good Morning Britain<\/em> \u2014 which led to him walking off set, never to return.<\/p>\n

In trying to defend her friend, Sharon got defensive and lashed out at her colleagues, telling Sheryl \u201cyou better not cry\u201d while demanding they provide proof<\/em>\u00a0Piers was racist.<\/p>\n

And now, with the controversy going into its second week \u2014 and immedia<\/a>tely after what should\u2019ve been a triumphant Sunday night for CBS<\/em> with the\u00a0Grammys<\/strong> \u2014\u00a0The Talk<\/em> is about to face down some serious changes.<\/p>\n

An insider spoke to\u00a0The Sun<\/em> about the two most prominent stars in question \u2014 Osbourne and Underwood \u2014 and made one thing very clear: they will \u201cnever share the same stage again.\u201d Of course, the network is said to be holding an internal investigation into the pair\u2019s on-air incident, but based on that sourced quote it sounds like the solution is pretty simple!<\/p>\n

Somebody\u2019s gotta go!<\/p>\n

And it gets even worse, unfortunately\u2026<\/p>\n

That same source revealed to\u00a0The Sun<\/em> that major changes are forthcoming for the show.\u00a0So<\/em> major, in fact, that the plan right now is to hold off on shooting live, new episodes for the time being until they can straighten out the lineup. Whoa!!!<\/p>\n

The insider revealed (below):<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the worst time in the history of the show. The network execs are furious that their Grammys night was interrupted by dealing with the show\u2019s drama. Heads are going to roll. They may pay off Sharon the rest of her $5 million dollar contract and be done after she called out the network for making producers ambush her. But also possible she will not be let go. There is too much to sort out, so the show won\u2019t be live Monday or Tuesday or maybe even this whole week. The damage is done.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It might make the most sense to pay off Sharon, as the insider hypothesizes, considering her comments over the weekend that were critical of network execs who she claims \u201cblindsided\u201d her with the Piers Morgan attack. Not to mention the fact a number of women of color have expressed a level of offense that may have them finding a\u00a0new<\/em> daytime talk show to watch.<\/p>\n

Whatever the lineup shake-up ends up being, it\u2019s a black eye for the show, which had previously made (good!) news<\/a> for bringing in the late\u00a0Nick Cordero<\/strong>\u2018s wife,\u00a0Amanda Kloots<\/strong>, as a new co-host back in December.<\/p>\n

From that to this?<\/p>\n

Not great,\u00a0CBS<\/em>!<\/p>\n

But Wait! There\u2019s More\u2026<\/p>\n

According to Page Six<\/em>, host Elaine Welteroth<\/strong> and her hairstylist were the ones who reportedly complained of there being an alleged \u201cracially insensitive and hostile environment\u201d on the show late last week.<\/p>\n

In a report published on Monday, the outlet notes that Welteroth\u2019s complaint was lodged with the show\u2019s human resources department, and regards Osboure and Underwood\u2019s \u201crecent exchange.\u201d<\/p>\n

As it turns out, this app<\/a>ears to be the specific complaint that officially kicked off the internal review we reported on over the weekend. An insider noted (below):<\/p>\n

\u201cElaine Welteroth and her hairstylist complained to HR over Sharon Osbourne\u2019s recent exchange with Sheryl Underwood. They said they don\u2019t feel comfortable working in a racially insensitive and hostile environment, and this complaint launched the investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Wow!<\/p>\n

It sure looks like The Talk<\/em> is going to hell in a hand basket\u2026<\/p>\n

That same insider further reported that Osbourne is \u201cfurious\u201d over what transpired \u2014 so much so that she confronted the show runners after last week\u2019s heated on-air exchange with Underwood and demanded an explanation at the time.<\/p>\n

The insider dished:<\/p>\n

\u201cShowrunners Heather Gray<\/strong> and Kristin Matthews<\/strong> were confronted by Sharon after Wednesday\u2019s show, and she grilled them about why they didn\u2019t prepare her for what was coming from Sheryl. Sharon felt the producers had been ordered not to prepare her and let her be blindsided on live TV because it would be more explosive and get more publicity. She is furious. There\u2019s a lot of finger-pointing going on behind the scenes. The Talk<\/em> is in full self-destruct mode; everyone is throwing whoever they can under the bus.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

BIG Yikes!!<\/p>\n

Never a good sign when the show runners and on-air talent aren\u2019t on the same page! Even worse when there\u2019s a confrontation back stage!<\/p>\n

Seriously, what do U make of ALL this\u00a0The Talk<\/em> drama, Perezcious readers? Is this show doomed at this point? Will a new lineup fix their problems?! Can they even put together a new lineup this quickly??<\/p>\n
