It\u2019s been nearly a week since Sharon Osbourne flipped on Sheryl Underwood for questioning her defense of Piers Morgan\u2019s controversial comments about Meghan Markle on \u201cThe Talk,\u201d and the co-hosts still have not reconciled.<\/p>\n

\u201cSharon is pissed at Sheryl because she feels like she helped sow a seed that she\u2019s racist, and [Osbourne]\u2019s unable to rationalize that that\u2019s not what happ<\/a>ened,\u201d an insider on the CBS daytime show told Page Six. <\/p>\n

In fact, the insider said, Sharon went crazy after the show and screamed, \u201cI\u2019m getting my lawyers!\u201d<\/p>\n

Osbourne issued a lengthy apology to those she offended in the black community but did not mention Underwood. <\/p>\n

A source close to Osbourne, however, told us she did reach out to Underwood personally. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe texted her a very detailed, emotional and heartfelt apology on Friday. It was very personal and Sheryl did not get back to her,\u201d the source said. <\/p>\n

Osbourne later gave an interview<\/a> to Variety magazine, where she lashed out against CBS for blindsiding her with the segment. <\/p>\n

But sources told us it was Osbourne who initially wanted to talk about Morgan and Markle on the show. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhenever Sharon is in the news<\/a>, she always goes to the producers and wants to address it on the show. She was aggressive about supporting Piers on social media<\/a> and got dragged for it. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe came to work after being labeled racist on Twitter and asked to address what was going on online. She [was not] blindsided by CBS,\u201d the insider said. <\/p>\n

Osbourne was initially going to address it in a monologue, but \u201c30-35 minutes\u201d before going live, we\u2019re told producers changed their minds and decided they wanted a discussion between the hosts.<\/p>\n

The insider continued, \u201cEveryone knew there was going to be a discussion. Sharon was already hyper-emotional, and she was expecting cover from Sheryl, and then she felt attacked. She blames Sheryl. In the post-show meeting, she screamed, \u2018I\u2019m getting my lawyers!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The Osbourne source explained, \u201cSharon expected maybe two questions, not a 20-minute segment on it. It broke precedent, and to make matters worse, [the ladies] had a come to Jesus moment a few weeks ago, vowing to have each other\u2019s backs. For her to get attacked the way she did, felt very painful.\u201d<\/p>\n

CBS announced it was investigating the exchange after Osbourne dropped the \u201cF bomb\u201d twice, including yelling, \u201cI can\u2019t be racist. I\u2019m a [bleeping] Jew.\u201d <\/p>\n

And Page Six exclusively revealed co-host Elaine Welteroth and her hairstylist have complained there is an alleged \u201cracially insensitive and hostile environment\u201d on the show<\/p>\n

The investigation comes after years of other high-profile scandals involving toxic work environment and racial allegations at the network. <\/p>\n

A rep for CBS has not commented, but released a statement on Friday following the announcement. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are committed to diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace,\u201d they said. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Talk\u201d suspended live episodes and aired previously recorded shows on Monday and Tuesday. They are expected to return to live shows on Wednesday.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
