An argument over a stimulus check led a 25-year-old man to shoot the mother of his child and kill four of her relatives at an Indianapolis home, according to reports.<\/p>\n

A day before Malik Halfacre allegedly shot Jeanettrius Moore Saturday and gunned down her family \u2014 killing her young daughter, brother, mother and a cousin \u2014 the father of one of Moore\u2019s children wanted half of her $1,400 stimulus check, relatives told WXIN<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wanted some of Jeanettrius\u2019 tax money, stimulus money,\u201d cousin Wendy Johnson told the station. \u201cShe said, No, you don\u2019t deserve any of this. I work. I take care of our child. You don\u2019t do anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore offered Halfacre $450, telling him \u201ctake it or leave it,\u201d Johnson recalled.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said, I\u2019m gonna get that money,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cThis was the day before.\u201d<\/p>\n

Halfacre later returned to the home and started going through Moore\u2019s purse looking for the money when Daquan Moore tried to intervene to help his sister, prompting Halfacre to just start \u201ckilling everybody,\u201d Johnson said.<\/p>\n

Relatives identified the victims as Moore\u2019s 7-year-old daughter, Eve, her 23-year-old brother Daquan Moore, her 44-year-old mother Tomeeka Brown and her 35-year-old cousin, Anthony Johnson.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe shot Daquan first,\u201d Wendy Johnson said. \u201cHe shot Anthony. He turned around, and he shot my auntie Tomeeka. My aunt Tomeeka said, \u2018Malik!\u2019 and he shot her again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Investigators said Halfacre also fled the home with his 6-month-old daughter, Malia Halfacre, triggering an Amber Alert. The girl was later found unharmed early Sunday, WISH reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Jeanettrius Moore, who worked at a beauty salon to support her two girls, was shot in the back. She flatly told a neighbor that Halfacre shot her and killed her family over her stimulus money, according to WISH<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said, \u2018Why did he shoot you?\u2019\u201d neighbor Craig Jackson said. \u201cAnd her exact words were \u2018stimulus money\u2019 \u2026 Her exact words were, \u2018I am the only one who got away. He killed the rest of them. Those were her exact words.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore, who was initially listed in critical condition, was released from a hospital Monday, relatives told the station.<\/p>\n

Halfacre remained held without bail Tuesday on preliminary charges of murder, robbery and attempted murder, online records show.<\/p>\n

Lorenzo Moore, Jeanettrius\u2019 brother, said Halfacre was known to carry a gun, didn\u2019t have a job and frightened his sister.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was like you could feel this fear, but you never want to do anything about it because you\u2019re too scared and it might come to what it\u2019s come to,\u201d Moore told WXIN. \u201cJust him being angry about not having any money and him not doing anything for himself, so he thought he would just take something from her.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
