\n A pandemic-theme<\/a>d film produced by Michael Bay, titled \u201cSongbird,\u201d has received a \u201cdo not work\u201d order from the\u00a0Screen Actors Guild \u2013 American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).<\/p>\n

The reason for the order was because \u201cthe producers have not been transparent about their safety protocols\u201d amid the coronavirus crisis, a union rep said in a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter\u00a0(THR).<\/p>\n

The organization told THR on Thursday\u00a0that they are taking safety protocols \u201cvery seriously\u201d and that the film\u2019s producers \u201chave not yet become signatory to our agreement.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reps for SAG-AFTRA did not immedia<\/a>tely respond to requests for comment.<\/p>\n

Per the outlet, the order was issued on Thursday,\u00a0stating: \u201cThe producer of the picture entitled \u2018Songbird,\u2019 has failed to complete the signatory process and is therefore not signed to any applicable SAG-AFTRA agreement.\u00a0As such, SAG-AFTRA members are hereby instructed to withhold any acting services or perform any covered work for this production until further notice from the union.\u201d<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the statement said:\u00a0\u201cPlease note, accepting employment or rendering services on Songbird may be considered a violation of Global Rule One. Violating this order may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the SAG-AFTRA Constitution.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSongbird,\u201d which is\u00a0set to follow people navigating a pandemic, hoped to start shooting this month,\u00a0according to THR.<\/p>\n

As of June 12, film and television productions have been allowed to resume in Los Angeles County with strict rules that include testing of on-set employees, social distancing, cleaning of props and sets, as well as\u00a0a coronavirus compliance officer being installed on-set.<\/p>\n

Demi Moore, Craig Robinson and\u00a0Paul Walter Hauser are among the film\u2019s cast and\u00a0Adam Mason will direct. In addition to Bay, 55, production companies\u00a0Invisible Narratives and\u00a0Catchlight Films are also backing the film.<\/p>\n

Reps for Bay and Catchlight\u00a0did not immediately respond when reached by Fox News<\/a> for comment. Invisible Narratives could not be reached.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
