\n British Prime Minister Boris Johnson denied Friday that the FBI has contacted him for assistance in interviewing Prince Andrew about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, according to a report.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo such app<\/a>roach has been made and otherwise it is really is a matter for the royal family. \u2026 It is a hypothetical question,\u201d Johnson said amid reports that Queen Elizabeth II is anxious about the crisis involving her son, the Daily Mail reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, the law must be carried out and the law must be observed,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Andrew\u2019s legal team said Friday that the royal is \u201cbewildered\u201d by allegations that he is stonewalling the probe about Maxwell and the late pedophile.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe duke\u2019s team remains bewildered given that we have twice communicated with the DOJ in the last month and to date we have had no response,\u201d an unnamed source on his legal team was quoted as saying by the Press Association, Agence France-Presse reported.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, investigators who busted Maxwell, 58, the financier\u2019s alleged procuress, said they still want to talk to Andrew, who has been accused by an Epstein \u201csex slave\u201d of sleeping with her when she was 17.<\/p>\n

While refusing to discuss the \u201cstatus\u201d of the Duke of York \u2014 who famously claimed he cannot sweat \u2014 prosecutors made it clear he is still on their radar during the probe into Epstein\u2019s inner circle.<\/p>\n

Johnson also expressed sympathy for the alleged victims.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think everybody\u2019s sympathies are very much with the victims of Jeffrey Epstein, but you wouldn\u2019t expect me to comment on matters affecting the royal family,\u201d he said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
