Work will not resume until \u201cresponsible safety professionals\u2026 are satisfied that any finding and recommendations coming out of the investigation have been addressed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Lieber declined the labor leaders\u2019 call to pause all work by outside contractors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have successfully progressed on important projects\u2026. using a combination of our dedicated in-house forces and skilled union labor crafts,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese projects often require specialized trades and have historically employed skilled contractor labor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Simon and Natale\u2019s letter was first reported <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newsday.com\/long-island\/transportation\/lirr-safety-incidents-unions-third-track-1.50183833\">by Newsday<\/a>.\n            <\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
