“#’The View’ won’t book me over Cuomo criticisms<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Fox News<\/a> meteorologist Janice Dean said Tuesday that she\u2019s been blackballed from app<\/a>earing on \u201cThe View\u201d \u2014 and suggested it was due to her outspoken criticism of embattled Gov. Andrew Cuomo.<\/p>\n

Dean \u2014 who has blamed Cuomo\u2019s coronavirus policies for the nursing home deaths of her in-laws \u2014 tweeted <\/a>that her publicist has tried \u201cseveral times\u201d to schedule an appearance for her on the daytime talk show, to no avail.<\/p>\n

Dean said she wanted to promote her recently published book, \u201cMake Your Own Sunshine,\u201d and also \u201ctalk about @NYGovCuomo and what I\u2019ve been doing for 10 months to raise awareness and accountability for my husband\u2019s parents\u2019 deaths.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGuess what they said?\u201d Dean said.<\/p>\n

Dean also ripped into \u201cThe View\u201d co-hosts Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin, tweeting<\/a> that \u201cseeing [them] yesterday saying they\u2019d basically rather have criminal @NYGovCuomo than a Republican governor in office makes me sick.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cI must say that @MeghanMcCain has been trying to shout for months about Cuomo, but when you have all the other women drowning her out and saying NO to her good friend who has been screaming for 10 months, it\u2019s kinda telling where their loyalties are.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2019, Dean previously appeared on \u201cThe View\u201d to promote her memoir \u201cMostly Sunny,\u201d which was a New York Times bestseller.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s also written a series<\/a> of children\u2019s books\u00a0featuring the cartoon character \u201cFreddy the Frogcaster.\u201d<\/p>\n

A publicist for ABC, which produces \u201cThe View,\u201d declined to comment.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
