In 2017, the fastest doubling pace &#8211; 12 days &#8211; happened on December 7th, nine days before the 3yr peak: <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/CgyIjDBJwU\">pic.twitter.com\/CgyIjDBJwU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CaseBitcoin (@case4bitcoin) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/case4bitcoin\/status\/1371858736701083653?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 16, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>CaseBitcoin notes the fastest doubling time recorded during the current market cycle was on Jan 7th, with BTC surging from $21,000 to $42,000 in just 22 days.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The firm suggests there are similarities between January\u2019s market action and that which occurred during August 2017  \u2014 the \u201cmiddle period of the 2017 bull market.\u201d Back then, Bitcoin\u2019s price doubled over just 26 days to tag $5,000 for the first time, before slumping by 40% in the following weeks. Speaking of the recent run up, CaseBitcoin <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/case4bitcoin\/status\/1371859261676875780\">concluded<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a>ly, the last few months look like that middle period of the 2017 bull market, with doubling times mostly under 100 days, but never under 20.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019ll be interesting to see if doubling-times as fast as the end of the 2013 and 2017 cycles happen this time around too,\u201d the analysts added.<\/p>\n<p>Back in 2013, Bitcoin\u2019s doubling time shrunk down to just <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/case4bitcoin\/status\/1371858868234379266\">four days<\/a> within one week of the bull season\u2019s peak.<\/p>\n<p>Many analysts believe the current bull market has more room to grow, with the founders of crypto data aggregator Glassnode sharing data showing that the decline in Bitcoin\u2019s liquid supply \u2014 an estimate as to how many coins are freely circulating and not locked up by \u201cilliquid entities\u201d \u2014 has accelerated since the start of 2021.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Despite recent volatility, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a> supply is still drying up at astonishing rates for this time around in the cycle. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/yslda1jUha\">https:\/\/t.co\/yslda1jUha<\/a> <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/y1SInrBjEF\">pic.twitter.com\/y1SInrBjEF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jan &amp; Yann (@Negentropic_) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Negentropic_\/status\/1371870709195112454?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 16, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The data also shows that Bitcoin\u2019s liquid supply has been falling significantly since April 2020, with Glassnode having estimated <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/insights.glassnode.com\/bitcoin-liquid-supply\/\">78%<\/a> of circulating BTC was already illiquid as of December 2020.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
