“#Texans, NFL star Deshaun Watson sued for sexual assault<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Texans star quarterback Deshaun Watson denied allegations of sexual assault outlined in a lawsuit filed Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Tony Buzbee, the Houston-based attorney representing the alleged victim, told Fox 26<\/a> in Texas that Watson was getting a massage from the unidentified woman when the 25-year-old \u201cwent too far.\u201d<\/p>\n

Details surrounding the suit were scarce.<\/p>\n

Watson refuted the claim on Twitter<\/a> after Buzbee made a social media<\/a> post about the lawsuit. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs a result of a social media post by a publicity-seeking plaintiff\u2019s lawyer, I recently became aware of a lawsuit that has app<\/a>arently been filed against me,\u201d Watson wrote. \u201cI have not yet seen the complaint, but I know this: I Have never treated any woman with anything than the utmost respect. The plaintiff\u2019s lawyer claims that this isn\u2019t about money, but before filing suit he made a baseless six-figure settlement demand, which I quickly rejected.\u201d<\/p>\n

Watson added that he looked forward to clearing his name.<\/p>\n

In a lengthy Instagram post,<\/a> Buzbee said he was \u201cextremely proud to represent those who have no perceived power against those who have PERCEIVED power.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis case we just filed against Watson isn\u2019t about money \u2014 it\u2019s about dignity and stopping behavior that should be stopped, NOW!\u201d Buzbee said.<\/p>\n

Watson, a three-time Pro Bowl quarterback, has been the center of trade talks this offseason after he requested to be moved. The former Clemson star reportedly became unhappy with the team\u2019s process in hiring Nick Caserio as general<\/a> manager in January.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
