That buying activity could provide a boost to share prices, according to an analysis from Jefferies.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cA number of names could see decent tailwind,\u201d the Jefferies analysts wrote. Those 16 stocks are in the table below, along with the number of days over which Jefferies calculates they will see buying pressure.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       There are some caveats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are adding to the growing list of concerns regarding small-cap performance moving too far, too fast,\u201d the analysts explain.<\/p>\n<p>As of Friday\u2019s open, the Russell 2000<br \/>\n        RUT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210598147\/delayed\" class=\"negative\">-0.86%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       is up 8.7% in the year to date, compared to a flat showing for the S&amp;P 500<br \/>\n        SPX,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210599714\/realtime\" class=\"negative\">-0.63%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       and a negative one for the Nasdaq<br \/>\n        COMP,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210598365\/realtime\" class=\"negative\">-1.13%<\/bg-quote><span>.<\/span>\n      <\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, companies have been rushing to go public at a pace not seen since 1997 \u2014 eclipsing even the 1999-2000 dot-com bubble.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the IPO calendar has been this hot in the past, performance has cooled,\u201d Jefferies wrote. \u201cWe don\u2019t see negative performance but Small does tend to lag over the subsequent 6 and 12 months as investors digest the new
