\u200bRussia called its Washington envoy back to Moscow on Wednesday for consultations after President Biden referred to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, as a \u201ckiller\u201d and said Putin would \u201cpay a price\u201d for meddling in the 2020 US election. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Russian ambassador in Washington, Anatoly Antonov, has been invited to come to Moscow for consultations conducted with the aim of analyzing what should be done and where to go in the context of ties with the United States,\u201d the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Biden made the comments about Putin during an interview on ABC\u2019s \u201cGood Morning America\u201d following the release of a declassified report from the Director of National Intelligence that claimed the Kremlin interfered in the presidential election.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe will pay a price. We had a long talk, he and I, I know him relatively well,\u201d Biden said. \u201cAnd the conversation started off, I said, \u2018I know you and you know me. If I establish this occurred, then be prepared.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, the most important thing dealing with foreign leaders in my experience \u2014 and I\u2019ve dealt with an awful lot in my career \u2014 is just know the other guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked if he thinks Putin is \u201ca killer,\u201d Biden responded, \u201cI do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden also claimed he and the Russian leader had a conversation about the fact that he doesn\u2019t believe Putin has a soul. <\/p>\n

Biden said he told the Russian leader, \u201cI said, \u2018I looked through your eyes, and I don\u2019t think you have a soul,\u2019 \u201d the president told ABC\u2019s George Stephanopoulos \u2014 and Putin looked back and replied, \u201cWe understand each other.\u201d<\/p>\n
