\nHow does Prince William<\/strong> really feel about Meghan Markle<\/strong> publicly calling out his wife Kate Middleton<\/strong>? He\u2019s probably not laughing it off, according to respected royal biographer Penny Junor<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

As we reported, the Suits<\/em> alum and Prince Harry<\/strong> spilled major royal family tea during their interview with Oprah Winfrey<\/strong> earlier this month, with the actress claiming \u2014 among other things \u2014 that Kate made her cry over a disagreement about bridesmaid dresses for Meghan and Harry\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n

According to Penny, who has written about both William and Harry, putting Kate on blast was the worst thing Meg could have done in the future king\u2019s eyes. The scribe told People<\/em>:<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Meghan to name Kate in a negative light is worse than being attacked himself.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yikes!<\/p>\n

This echoes what an insider told Vanity Fair<\/em> on the heels of the explosive sit-down, that Will was \u201cangry and upset\u201d about Meghan dragging his wife. The source said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI find it hard to see how they can come back from this. William is angry and upset, and he will bear a grudge for a very long time that Meghan has dragged Catherine into all of this.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For what it\u2019s worth, the 39-year-old California native revealed that Kate later apologized to her, telling Oprah during their chat:<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I don\u2019t say that to be disparaging to anyone, because it was a really hard week of the wedding, and she was upset about something. But she owned it, and she apologized and she brought me flowers and a note apologizing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In extra clips released on CBS This Morning<\/em> after the interview aired, Meg compared her treatment by the British tabloids to Kate\u2019s early days in the royal family. She explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cKate was called \u2018Waity Katie,\u2019 waiting to marry William. While I imagine that was really hard \u2014 and I do, I can\u2019t picture what that felt like \u2014 this is not the same\u2026 And if a member of his family will comfortably say, \u2018We\u2019ve all had to deal with some things that are rude,\u2019 rude and racist are not the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Clearly, Meg was using Kate to illustrate how unfairly she was being treated by the media<\/a>, but it sounds like William might be too angry and protective to not take it personally on behalf of his wife.<\/p>\n
