\n Prince Andrew is \u201cdeliberately evading authorities\u201d who are seeking to interview him about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the lawyer for dozens of the late pedophile\u2019s alleged victims said in an interview.<\/p>\n

Brad Edwards, who represents 55 women who claim they were abused by Epstein, who killed himself in a Manhattan federal lockup last year, said he believes the Duke of York has information that will help his clients, Sky News reported.<\/p>\n

Edwards told the British news outlet that he has personally invited the royal \u201cat least three times\u201d to provide information but that Andrew \u201cflat out refuses.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the financier\u2019s alleged procuress Ghislaine Maxwell was busted on charges that include alleged sex crimes in her London townhouse \u2014 where Andrew has separately been accused by an Epstein \u201csex slave\u201d of sleeping with her when she was 17.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Duke of York has offered his assistance to the Department of Justice investigation on a number of occasions this year,\u201d a source close to the prince\u2019s legal team told Sky News.<\/p>\n

The source said: \u201cIn addition, the working group have proactively contacted the DoJ twice in the last month and have received no response.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is why we remain utterly bewildered by the DoJ\u2019s app<\/a>roach. However, a request from a commercial law firm is not and never will be the same as an official judicial process,\u201d the source added.<\/p>\n

Edwards said his clients are angry at the claims that Andrew has been cooperative with authorities and that the royal is \u201cbewildered\u201d by reports he hasn\u2019t been.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis bewilderment is subsidiary to my bewilderment because he\u2019s been personally invited to provide all the information he knows for more than a decade,\u201d Edwards told Sky News.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know personally, for over a decade we have been asking him to come and provide all of the information that he has. I think I\u2019ve personally invited at least three times to tell us what he knows and he just flat out refuses,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s clients who are familiar with the fact that he was around and, you know, they\u2019re familiar with the evidence. They know that he was on the flight logs. They know that he was in Ghislaine\u2019s apartment with Virginia Roberts,\u201d he said, referring to Epstein\u2019s alleged \u201csex slave\u201d Virginia Roberts Giufffre.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey know that there are hard questions that he should be answering, especially if there\u2019s any bit of a defense for his own actions then. These are things that he should be, you know, kind of owning up to. The fact that he is not is very frustrating to the victims,\u201d the lawyer added.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no doubt that he\u2019s deliberately evading authorities. I mean, how much more clear \u2014 when have you ever heard a US Attorney\u2019s Ofice at a press conference say: we\u2019re inviting you to come over,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd he\u2019s still \u2014 he\u2019s not on a plane right now coming over. You know, there\u2019s no doubt that they want to talk to him.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
