“#PlayStation Go Hands on With Their New PS5 VR Controllers<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Sony wants to make gaming immersive<\/em>, and with the release of the PlayStation 5, players have been stuck playing PS5 game<\/a>s on a TV like\u00a0chumps, with only PS4 VR games working through backward compatibility. That will soon change, as the next generation of PlayStation VR is on its way.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

While nothing has been formally shown off about the device itself, today PlayStation unveiled<\/span><\/a> the next-gen controllers that come with the device, and they look comfy as heck. The paid\u00a0come with some new features alongside some that were seen in the PS5 DualSense controller.<\/p>\n

The controllers have the adaptive triggers<\/strong> seen in the DualSense, along with the haptic feedback<\/strong> engines. New features include finger touch detection<\/strong>\u2013you don’t even need to push\u00a0buttons for it to know you’re touching it\u2013, the full suite of buttons found on the regular controller, in what looks like a nice setup, and a new tracking ring sensor<\/strong> that works with the headset rather than cameras on the TV.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Previously when the new headset was formally announced<\/span>,\u00a0Hideaki Nishino<\/strong>\u2014Senior Vice President, Platform Planning & Management\u2014 claimed the next-gen VR headset would give\u00a0“dramatic leaps in performance and interactivity” for the new version of PSVR, with a\u00a0single cord connecting the unit to the PS5. And with these controllers, it seems Sony is close to delivering on their promise. Though how the headset plays is a sight to be seen…<\/p>\n
