And I think that this is a place where you literally are seeing the revolution happening right before your eyes. Alphonse Nicholson)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cI believe he\u2019s the every man who\u2019s trying to figure himself out every step of the way,\u201d says Nicholson of his rapper character. \u201cI believe he\u2019s someone that we all can relate to. I think he\u2019s a super talented musician [<em>Laughs<\/em>] and I think people are going to enjoy his music and the lifestyle that he brings to<em> P-Valley<\/em> and just everything he brings to that community and that culture, I\u2019m grateful to be telling his story.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-hash=\"6\">\n<div> <picture><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"P-valley Shannon Thornton\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/p-valley-shannon-thornton-1014x570.jpg\"><\/img><\/picture><\/div>\n<p><span>Starz <\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"KeyshawnMiss_Mississipi_Shannon_Thornton\"><\/span>Keyshawn\/Miss Mississipi (Shannon Thornton)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cShe is this ball of energy; I think she eats glitter for breakfast,\u201d Thornton jokes of her character whose stage name is Miss Mississippi. \u201cShe\u2019s a walking exclamation mark, you hear her before you see her, and you want to be her friend. She\u2019s also struggling with an abusive relationship,\u201d reveals Thornton. \u201cShe is very insecure about being a dark-skinned Black girl and she is a mom of two. Through all of this inner turmoil and conflict [though], you see her really coming into her own.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-hash=\"7\">\n<div> <picture><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"P-valley Parker Sawyers\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/p-valley-parker-sawyers-1014x570.jpg\"><\/img><\/picture><\/div>\n<p><span>Starz<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Andre_Watkins_Parker_Sawyers\"><\/span>Andre Watkins (Parker Sawyers)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cAndre Watkins is a guy that was born and raised in Chuccalissa, but he moved away for his education and more opportunity,\u201dSawyers teases. \u201cHe\u2019s coming back to his small town in the South on mysterious business \u2014 he thinks he\u2019s doing the right thing \u2026 He\u2019s a good guy,\u00a0 I\u2019ll just say that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-hash=\"8\">\n<div> <picture><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"P-valley Skyler Joy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/p-valley-skyler-joy-1014x570.jpg\"><\/img><\/picture><\/div>\n<p><span>Starz<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Gidget_Skyler_Joy\"><\/span>Gidget (Skyler Joy)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s a dancer at the Pynk and she is a second-generation pole dancer,\u201d Joy says of her character. \u201cShe sees pole dancing as an Olympic sport.
